Lighthouse Hunter chapter 1 . 11/28/2010 I enjoyed this story. This is the sort of detail we'd like from an episode but which they can't squeeze into 45 or less minutes. I like stories that involve Blair, Jim and Simon. It was well written and I love to see Jim caring for Blair. Well done. |
The Blue Raven chapter 1 . 10/5/2008 * "And I also heard that this guy lived." "Yeah, he did," Jim said, quietly. "But a part of me didn't." * What a perfect description of what Jim feels for Blair. This is a wonderful fic that does an excellent job of describing what the two men feel for each other: sweet without being sappy. I love the analogy comparing Blair's relationship with Jim to riding a bike. Sometimes easy, sometimes bumpy, but always with someone to pick you up when you fall and give you what you need afterwards, be it a dust-off or a hug until you can stand on your own again. Your take on Blair's childhood is both disturbing and compelling. No wonder the boy has a fear of heights! I can totally see Naomi doing what you had her doing, and you can almost taste Blair's distress (and his fear) at the idea of their past coming to light. And Jim's determination to find out everything is perfect for him; he's thinking of nothing but that those events caused Blair pain and that something needs to be set right as a result. This fic sums up the relationship between Jim and Blair just wonderfully. Look forward to seeing more from you |
