It seemed like a logical explanation as to why he hadn't been calling for the past few days. "What mattered was the way he looked at her, the way he’d brush a loose strand of hair behind her ear, the way he’d cuddle close to her when they slept and the way he kissed her as if it were his last day on earth." This was a really powerful sentence. I really liked the feelings and atmosphere it evoked. |
