First of all, I'm deeply moved to see that this story was dedicated to me. Seems like 'Simple and Clean' was my greatest MGS hit. XD Well, that won't be true once 'Exhale' starts. But for now, it's nice to see how much other readers enjoyed 'Simple and Clean'. XD

As soon as this ended, I instantly thought to myself: I hope she writes another one like this. XD It's nice to put our favorite hero in a happy environment. I adored the birthday party, and loved how everyone was involved. The perfect dedication! Instantly going to my faves lists. You're a dear.

Aside from the fact that I'm pretty sure Raiden got completely "decyborged" (and thus wouldn't have to "turn on" his taste buds), this is an excellent one-shot. Something as mundane as a surprise birthday party is a good way for Snake to do *something* resembling living during his last days.

The presents were awesome, especially Sunny's paper cranes, a small part of me actually believed they *would* make Snake better.

The only thing that annoys me about this story is that-unless I missed it somewhere-we never do find out what Snake wished for (he could have actually gotten an extra wish by cutting the cake).

And when the ending came, a smile came to my face...and for a while I was worried that Snake actually died right there on the couch at the end, though thankfully my fears were unfounded, apparently.
