Another great story! People can be the worst monsters, and they certainly are here. You went down the path that I expected; however, this was not a bad thing. It was done convincingly and very well. It was gratifying to read. The addition of the Stanford friends was a pleasant bonus. The interactions with them, and the thoughts they brought to the brother's minds were greatly appreciated.

Just dropping you a note to let you know how much I enjoyed reading this. It combined some of my favorite elements-hurt!Dean, brother angst and friends from Stanford-altogether in one fiction. Just the right amount of each element and definitely going on my favorite's list.

Also noted that you are still watching the show, which is a pleasant surprise for me. So many of the people I've known in this fandom have quit-quit the show, quit writing about the show. It was a surprise to find someone who's been there for a long while still going.

Loved this piece. Loved how Sam and Dean barricaded themselves to fight the Hunter's.

It's not the brutality that's a draw for me - although I like to see the boys clever and competent and kick ass - it's the fierce love and loyalty that the actions speak to. And the glimpses of goodness and purity, sacrifice and faith mixed in with gritty survival.

Sam's Stanford friends are likable. I enjoy the balance of Sam longing for a lost life and receiving comfort from Louis and the rest, and Sam's feelings of alienation from his friends and renewed affirmation for his quest and nomadic life.

This one was a rough one! I love fics that deal with Sam's time at Stanford. The characterization was perfect and Sam finally got to realize he really is meant to be with his bro. Those hunters gave me chills though! For me, the only monster scary enough to give me nightmares are human monsters. They're the only monsters that are real. For us anyway, not so much Sam and Dean lol. Anyway, thanks for a great read!:)

What a fascinating story, particularly because the 'monsters' were sicko humans and it was also interesting to see the pull on Sam of that could-have-been life... I really liked the exploration of Dean's need for Sam, and Sam's understanding of that.

Bringing in friends from Sam's past at Stanford was a really nice move. It brought in an immediacy to his maybe leaving again that hadn't ever been present before when Stanford and all of those connections had been somewhere over /there/.

And then the plot of this one! Whew. Had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Characterization was perfect. Descriptions were really colorful. It was great. :D

I like that Sam's Stanford friends don't seem completely separated from him. They're smart people, they caught on. And woo enraged Sammy! Loved him going berserk on the hunters.
