While not quite as much fun as the idea I read where Yachiru was Kenpachi's shikai, I can't help but like this one. While a psychological shikai isn't expected for Zaraki, it's effect is just perfect. Of course, that least to the question of just what his bankai would do...

Hmm, this one-shot is very good. I like your analysis of Kenpachi's character, and while I don't completely agree with your ideas of why he locked his powers away it's at least explained logically, a huge plus in my book

The idea of the zanpakuto is also absolutely brilliant. I've read some shikais for Kenpachi, and while they definitely were making fights bloody, they didn't really fit his style. As another Terry Pratchett reader I can see how 'The Last Hero' inspired you for Kenpachi's sword

Anyways, I liked the story, it was serious, had some funny elements and was believable, something which is often ignored in FFs.

I hope you'll keep up the good work, I'd like to read more from you.

The way Kenpachi and Urahara interact is so much fun!

I think that you made the best shikai possible for Kenpachi. And he got some really cool fight scenes too, with Grimmjow. Is rare to find thrilling fights and in character personages in the same fic.

Even the humor, you mastered it well. This story will take an proud place in my favorites list
