Your author's note at the end was very thought provoking, as was the story itself...JKR does seem to be championing the cause of mediocrity, especially with that abhorrent crapilogue, doesn't she? I'd really like to think that once he'd taken care of Riddle, Harry would be, or at least do, something...more. Then again, he was certainly programmed for mediocrity, so maybe not...but he was also programmed to 'do his duty', so if the argument was made to him that it was his duty to make the wizarding world a better place, he'd do it. Plus, there had to be a reason the Hat wanted him in Slytherin, the tools (or foundations thereof) must have been there...

No Weasley bashing? How about Hermione bashing then? I dont want the uppity know it all to gain Harry.

I agree about Ron. I've never understood those who say constant bickering is a sign of love. Can you imagine spending the rest of your life in that kind of relationship? Not for me, thanks.
