Woah... that was something... I loved this! It was... really something. So depressing. I feel so bad for the trauma Danny went through, but your vagueness was really something. The imagination boggles... gosh I feel terrible for this kid. I actually liked your OCs, too! And the way Tamar interacted with Danny. Seriously... This was just amazing. I kind of wish you had made a series outta this. I can imagine it would’ve been complicated though. But still, you managed to create and establish characters and create and establish relationships between characters. Tamar and Danny were my personal favourites.
Just... wow... This was awesome. Depressing. And heart wrenching. SO heart wrenching. But awesome.

It's such a shame that this is a one shot. It's very well written and it has a lot of plot potential. This was written in 2008? Hard to believe.

Now I gotta know what happened in his time! How did Vlad manage to get Maddie to marry him, how did Jack die, what happened to Jazz, Sam, and Tucker? What's going to happen to Danny now? Has he really accepted that everyone is dead and gone? If Danny is still alive, is there a chance Vlad is still too? Aaaaaahhh so many questions!
I love your interpretation of what the future in this world would look like. Really good fic (and incredibly sad).

An interesting postulation and view into the future. I think this would continue with some extreme counseling and then a lot of straightening out the history books. There is certainly some further story possible here, but even just this glimpse is quite compelling. Thank you for posting this!

Oh my goodness. This was... This was amazing.

Despite the fact that I have been reading them nonstop for about a month now, this is the first Danny Phantom fic that I've decided to review. And for a good reason. I don't even know how to put into words how much I loved this story.

The emotion was just brilliant. There was this incredibly eerie and depressing atmosphere throughout the whole thing that made me literally shiver at some points. I haven't felt this moved by a fic in quite a while. Even though you did not go in-depth with the future world, it was believable and extremely interesting. And I liked your OCs! You have no idea how difficult it is for me to like OCs. I've read so many DP fics that throw Danny into the future, many of them without his friends and family... but this was something else, a huge step above the rest of them.

I was a bit daunted at first when I read the word count, because while I do enjoy longer stories, I typically prefer for them to be in chapters so I can take a break. But for some reason, I decided to give this a shot, and it drew me right in. Whenever I had to put it down, which I did on occasion, I couldn't stop thinking about it. It was just such a unique and inspiring piece.

Yet I feel like we've barely scratched the surface! I want to read more! There are so many questions left unanswered! I would do almost anything to read another chapter of this story. Unfortunately, I see that you haven't been on this site since 2010, and this obviously hasn't been updated since 2008. It's almost been six years. But man... If I could read a full length novel with a plot like this, it just might be one of my favorite stories I've ever read. I don't know quite what you did that made me enjoy this so much, but I have to commend you for your excellent writing skills.

I'll probably come back and add this to my favorites. If I ever do, then know that your story really amazed me, and I intend to reread it numerous times in the future. I don't add just any story anymore - only those that leave a lasting impression on me. And considering that I was on the edge of my seat the entire time while reading this story, I have no doubt I won't be forgetting it any time soon.

Great story. If you ever come back to the realm of fanfiction, I would love, love, love to read another chapter of this.

This is the second time that i have read this...and it still makes me cry. Haha i'm younger than Danny in this! He's 16/400-500 something! I'm 14... *cue gasp*

I really enjoyed this. It's very well written and has the beginnings of a very well developed world. Parts of it were sad, though. The full humans in this story, even Tamar, had a depressing lack of compassion and hardness to their hearts which I find sad. The discrimination and prejudice against ghosts that is show in the show is very evident in this story as well. I'm sure if you expanded out the world you started to create there would be groups that did not feel the same way and actually took the exact opposing ideal, but that's not shown here in the story so it's still sad.

I know you said you had no intention of continuing this but I'd be interested in reading more.

Anyway, thanks so much for the story!

I understand that you're not continuing this but wow... I couldn't have thought up a better cliff hanger if I tried. XD I really enjoyed this story though. You have some real talent.
