Should a story of them reuniting.

Frankly, what surprises me is the fact that Mikoto not only knows but apparently approves of whatever plan Fugaku has for their children. It's just, different, for lack of a better word. Almost all fics have Mikoto as being the rather submissive wife who doesn't agree with their husband but accepts whatever he says because they can't or aren't willing to put up a fight.

1: Ugh, Fugaku you are despicable.
2: Can that situation possibly get more volatile? I swear you had 3 highly skilled jonin and freakin' Orochimaru in what could've become a three way disagreement.

Oh my gosh this was *amazing*! I'm sad that Minato had to die at the end, but I am super happy there's going to be a sequel. Are Minato and Itachi going to get to meet as reanimations/edo tensei? I really, really want a reunion.

Oh my heart, it bleeds Thank you very much for this story, I will treasure it since it is one of the best naruto-stories I have read so far (and I have read many). Your plot is really interesting, focusing on Itachi and Minato as main-characters. I can understand why you chose them both for this story. Minato with his kind and understanding heart is the most fascinating person in Naruto. Saving those precious to him on cost of his own life... how selfless and tragic. And, how it turns out much later, a very wise choice indeed. I believe that Masashi Kishimoto gave this vital character not nearly enough credit so I searched fanfics which did and endet up here.
As much as I love Minato, Itachi is not far behind. He has the same philosophy of life. He sacrifices all he has to protect Konoha and above all his younger brother.
To see this both characters form a bond with each other under such circumstances was wonderful to read. It seems to explain some thingsItachi's fondness of dango and his selflessnes may have been greatly influenced by the Yondaime. Nothing seems to oppose this theory. But, oh, the end! It couldn't be more emotional, could it? Is it really necessary to kill Minato? :c I understand why you let him die, but I couldn't help but hope a little bit that he would remain living even it was only because of some weird jutsu that failed.
Do you plan to write a sequel? This would be fantastic! Thank you for this fic!

Ohhh I looove your fic so much! Sorry for this somewhat late review, but since your story is so fantastic, I doubt you'll mind. I must admit that I never expected it to be so exciting and emotional to read. It develops very fast after the first chapters in a way I really like :) The relationship Minato/Itachi is a fantastic subject to read about because Masashi Kishimoto only described them both as geniuses and left plenty of room for interpretation. Whoever Minato and Itachi were - if they had any relationship or did barely know each other - is a question only fanfics can answer in their own unique way. I have to thank you that you went through such great lengths to create an answer. I like the way you described them both and their struggle with the world around them. I am so happy that you didn't forget Kakashi! He has become one of my favourite characters. I missed him a little, but since you included him in the funeral-scene it's allright. He doesn't dominate the fic, but appears here and there so that you can catch a glimpse of what he does.
Giving the date you updated I don't know if you'll read this or write a sequel to this fic. I thought it right nonetheless to notify you that I'll read whatever you thought could be a sequel if you chose to continue it.
I guess what I am trying to say is that you have done an excellent job on this fic and I would like to read more.

I have to say I didn't expect this story would be updated again, but when I saw the alert I was happy, I'm sorry this review is so delayed but, well, it's here.
I admit I thought for a while you would break the canon and let Minato and Kushina alive, I loved your Minato and was so sad he actually died, but being the last chapter and leaving so many posibilities, I don't mind because his death served to push two big characters to be something bigger that they might be. I liked the idea of Kakashi feeling the wolrd owed many things and he didn't have any duty any longer because he had already lost so much, Jiraiya was too a cool character, no the kind type but the ruthless one needed to put Kakashi back on his place.
Itachi was the other one, was sad and realistic that he didn't deny the fact he would accept Madara's offer and he stopped looking at Namikaze because the boy knew he would accept, more real less idealistic about his love to Sasuke. So is a great moment when he chooses to be that nameless shinobi that watches over the village from the shadows. It's kind of sad because he is too young but capable to take so strong decisions and, follow them but knowing he's not completely ok and has weakness and holes inside, the tragic path... like I read a few days ago: A tragedy in slow motion.
Anyway, I'm really thankful you didn't drop your amazing story, I hope the lack of reviews doesn't discourage you to keep writting, is a great idea, a fantastic development and a wonderful style.

I haven't read many Minato fics, but I gotta say, this one has made me interested! I really enjoyed reading it, especially all the little details you added about Itachi post-trauma (like the fear of kunai). Can't wait for the next update!

Very good story. Well written, good details, good characterization (Minato's is a bit iffy, but considering when you started this story, it's quite good) and I'm really liking the relationship between Itachi and Minato. I can't wait to see what changes from canon occur, seeing as Itachi has already awoken his Sharingan at an earlier age;. Keep up the great work!

I'm so sorry this review took so long. I began to valorize Minato as character thanks to your story, I think he's a really interesting character and an ideal ninja, a very important man.
Is like closing a circle, when you started your story only about Minato before Itachi's entrance and then retaking his lief now as Hokage with everything comes around with his responsibility... I must say, that job must be one of the most frustrating because he wants so much but he can do so few.
The long section about Madara and the first Hokage, wow! I love the way you portrayed the man, I think is hard enough to take a character and then put him on a story but is much harder to put this same character and write from his perspective. I read the man's problems and desires about the Uchiha and specially Madara, is not the so-good Hashirama and the evil Madara, both of them have their griefs and desires and they make their decisions, even when they could be very good friends (or they were).
The plot developing with the Uchiha around the countries is interesting, I can't remember if I had told you these political-economical-etc problems between the countries give the fic a more serious aspect, is clear you want to go further than mere interaction between the characters...
Then Minato again, a 'humanized' Minato and not the perfect almost idealized man. And I just can feel sorry for him, he wants so much to be who they want but he can only be who he is, the poor man is really trying everything, the last part really depressing because is he can't even find peace with Kushina, and is her who makes him want to be more the man he can't be.
I can't believe this story is about to finish, but I'm glad you're planning already a sequel. I would really like to ask for a chapter soon, but I suppose I can only sit and wait.
