Well, Ryō proves in canon that he doesn’t have much sense about leaving these things alone. (“Hey Yūgi, have you seen my Millenium Ring? / Oh there it is. That was mean of Yūgi not to tell me he had it...”) Anyway, the story was very nicely in character. 1 Kudos.

And Ryo is really talented to create such a huge and detailed project. I kind of want a spin-off sequel one-shot with the Yugi-tachi seeing the board and a talk between Akefia and Ryo (Kaiba Corp would definitely have gadgets to catch even the tiniest sound wavelengths) but well you'll have to be the one to write it so it's your decision of course XD

Omigosh, this is amazing! I've been looking for this type of story for years. Finally, finally, FINALLY somebody got Ryou's personality right. He's not the weak and helpless woobie that most fanfic writers make him out to be. And I've always wondered how Ryou reacted when he woke up and his exhibition of Egypt was destroyed. I mean, it must have taken such a long time to make! Anyways, that was a really cool ending! I was kind of expecting something to come alive (probably the Thief King figurine) but I didn't expect the entire board to start moving. What are Ryou and Yugi going to do next, I wonder? Maybe they'll just leave the board alone until after the ceremonial duel and the magic of the millennium items are gone for good, which will make the board stop moving. Or will another shadow game take place? There are so many different ways this could go. I'd be really excited if you continued it, if you ever find the inspiration to do so.

Hey, about the problem of hearing the mini-figures, I once read a book where they had that problem called "The Fairy wars", and they solved that problem by rigging a tiny microphone that the fairy wore on its back. I think Ryou could definitely do something like that, given his crafting skills and if he couldn't, Yugi or Kaiba or even Joey definitely could. They're all oddly capable people, though they don't spend much of their time doing that sort of thing.

Interesting fic! Very haunting, and it had a nicely ominous tone throughout! I had a few nitpicks but they were minor - did Yugi ever actually refer to Kaiba as Seto? And I don't think he ever referred to Bakura by his first name, either, but I have to admit I'm not familiar with the dubbed version. There are a few grammatical errors here and there, too. Regardless, I love the entire atmosphere of this fic - you've set it up marvelously from start to finish. I especially adore the reaction of tiny Thief King. It cracked me up. Bakura's characterization was well down as well, since he's just the kind of boy who would spend his free time obsessing over the board game putting it back together, making everything just right, and it's never really clear if he's doing it entirely of his own volition or not.

And yes, yes. Kaiba would probably bust down walls and murder countless people to get his hands on that Blue Eyes White Dragon, especially now that it's sentient. It's a shame this fic is so old and I only came across it now, since it's most likely not going to be continued. This is an AMAZING concept that has enormous potential and could go any number of ways. Well done! Love it!
