| Mouse-size-Dragon chapter 6 . 10/12/2015 I just had to say that your explanation of the loyalty symbol was one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard/read. It's a sentiment I can agree with and I love how you wrote that exchange. I like the idea of giving someone your 'undying, unfaltering loyalty' and what that means about love. Because love should mean loyalty, and trust and sacrifice and willingness to do anything for that person regardless of your own benefit or comfort, but all too often it's treated with a casualty that makes a mockery of the emotion for the rest of us. So many people say 'I love you' and really mean 'I like you well enough and am also attracted to you.' I think that this, the loyalty equals true/real love sentiment, is going to be one of those things that sticks with you long after you've forgotten the details of the story you read it in. Thanks for writing it. |
