I'm still trying to figure out why this story has so little reviews... Obviously the review-count does not reflect the quality.

Usually I don't bother reading stories that have no particular focus on a pairing but right from the get-go I could already tell that you had a great handling of not only the characters but the traditional Japanese culture as well. So, very nice work on the extra research & it's much appreciated as well. Even your writing style complements the light and sophisticated air this story seems to exude. If a writer can make a reader feel the atmosphere in the story... then you just know you've got something big churning here...

What really caught me though was how you portrayed Sakura. In most settings like these, usually the writer shows Sakura as someone who perfectly follows the role of the traditional Japanese woman and while the story can come out interesting... it leaves such a slow pace as both the reader and the characters just stare at one another in silence (really.. we can't expect Sasuke to be the talkative one here) but clearly, you took the opposite route and I really liked that. I liked it even more when you had her parents purposely left her out on their plans. You didn't have to even say it - Sakura is a girl who's stubborn and rebellious enough that even her 'strict' parents have to hide this from her. That is one of the marksmanship of a true writer, show not tell.

And Sasuke. Ahh, even though this is just a prologue (or first chapter?), I can already see you have his character pegged too. It would have been so very interesting to see how these two would have interacted but alas it seems you've been leading quite a busy life on your hands, hm? Nonetheless, I have an inkling feeling that you'll return someday... or maybe that's just the hope talking.

Uh, no on this site does actual period AU pieces without mixing in too much fantasy and pre conceived perceptions about the era their trying to write about. But based on this first chapter, ''Autumn Moon" is fairly promising. (Though, I know nothing about the Edo period except that the Dutch were the few Westerners allowed to trade) The arranged marriage and the meeting of families is especially realistic.

Well written ! Im not adding ANY fanfic in my favorites but this one surely does merit its place there!

But Im hoping on Neji/Ten and Naru/Hina also... :)
