GOOD JOB!

This is a really interesting story you have here - I've recently been looking into the whole Arthurian mythos as it relates to Code Geass, and this story popped up.

I really like the parallels you draw here - how the symbolism parallels (or doesn't parallel) the characters within Code Geass. And the way that as time passes and Suzaku experiences different things, his attitude towards Lancelot and the other figures of myth.

But - and I'm sorry to have a but - I don't like your ending. I can see what you were driving at (and I have the benefit of knowing how the series ends, which you didn't at the time) but I find the Suzaku Mordred comparison very shallow compared to some of the other stuff. Especially since the show itself ended with hammering home all the Suzaku Lancelot parallels, many of which you already touched on (Lancelot killing his dearest friend Gawain. Lancelot spending his life in solitary penance after his king dies). And what with half this fic being about Suzaku's changing feelings towards Lancelot as he finds out more of the myth...

Yeah, sorry for the tl;dr. I just feel that in writing this how you did, you sort of missed your chance in regards with the ending. I'd love to see an Arthurian take on *that*

Definitely a cool story that explores the similarities between Arthurian legends and code geass, nice job!

This exploration of the Knights of the Round and their parallelism to King Arthur’s legend is very insightful. The DVD commentary mentioned that the names of each of the Knightmare Frames were picked very deliberately, but to see how far you made that idea go was amazing. I love the way you intertwined Mordred at the finish; it created a powerful comparison. Beautifully written.

But going back to reread it... holy crap, how did you do that? Did you just end up guessing exactly what the ending was? I mean, unless I'm completely mixing something up here, wasn't the last episode not shown until the 28 of September?

This is extremely cool. It reads like there was a lot of effort in writing it, and it works. Extended literary conceits like this almost always end up too laboured in fic, but you handled it really well, and it kind of fits Suzaku's special brand of madness :D Thoroughly enjoyed. Well thought out, and great work.
