Nice work! It's a soft side of Paul that you hardly ever see. And Maylene is still a kid, but a sweet when need to be girl. Nice fic!

I must admit I really liked this fic. I'm quite surprised. Very well written and IC

I have to say that I liked this. The idea and pairing is very original and the characters are IC (people tend to leave that out while writing Paul fanfictions)

I also liked the part about Paul's parents. I've always been of the opinion that the anime should reveal that Paul's family was abusive, crappy etc. For example, Paul's mother died and his father developped a drinking problem and became abusive. Reggie was travelling as a pokemon trainer at that time and did not notice anything until something really bad happened...or something like that. That would at least explain Paul's antisocialness.

I fully admit, I was going to pass this fic by. I saw the word 'Paul' and thought, 'oh god, another Paul-acts-like-a-dick-fic. Nothing new there. Then I saw you had it with Maylene - a rare pairing! :D And Maylene HELPING? Not an OOC Paul doing it? Could it be... an in-character fic with a rare pairing?

AND IT WAS! ;_; I loved this! I'm so glad I clicked on it! Maylene seemed just like her slightly spazzy watery-eyed self, and Paul - we some insight into Paul! I mean, we all know he's a bastard, but so few people ever try to delve inside and tell us WHY.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. Awesome job and I look forward to whatever you do next!

2) I haven't seen the Sinnoh episodes due to my location, but I allowed myself to be spoiled, so I know that Paul beat Maylene. Maylene ended up having some sort of problem because of this.

3) I'll fave this since this is a piece that's well-written and that's diffrent from the usual Ash/Misty, Ash/May, Dawn/Paul, and May/Drew fics...
