I had turned 2 9 day before. That also was my sisters first day of school. The teachers at her school were using wake takes and picked up radio waves on them, from the Twin Towers. Let me menchen this we live in TN at the time and steal do.

MaemiSmile chapter 1 . 8/11/2010
My dad used to work at the building across the street that went down with the towers on the third to top floor, but his floor had been transferred 8 blocks down three months prior. he probably wouldn't have made it. My best friend's dad had died at day, though. We ere both in class, during reading time- we were in first grade- and my teacher told us that we were both being picked up. Never before have we seen our mothers so upset... Our dads were very close, and he refused to leave NYC until he knew if he was alright or... He was gone for three days until he heard...

I just recently went to see Ground Zero. I had never gone before, since I, to this day, am upset about losing him. But as I stood there, and maintenance people had opened the gate to bring supplies in for the memorial fountain...and a slight breeze blew by, I just knew that it was my best friend's dad thanking me for coming to see him and I've felt a lot better, as though a weight had been lifted off my shoulders, since.

Have you ever gone?
DeidaraLuverC4 chapter 1 . 10/24/2009
I don't remember that much. I was in first grade then.

All I remeber is our principle coming into our class and telling us what would happen. (Though in my mind it wasn't even the right classroom) Thats all I remember.

A while ago my mother told me she brought me home early.
Lily Truesdale chapter 1 . 3/20/2009
AW ! Poor Jaden ! *hugs him really tight* I REALLY loved that story. It does prove how horrifing 9/11 was.
Pingalo909 chapter 1 . 10/17/2008
This story is truely a touching story.

I remember where I was when it happened. I was asleep it was late at night or early in the morning. I couldn't understand what was going on but all I know it made me cry.

My friend's father was in the pentagon. He was one of the lucky ones.

But my question is... Is anyone ever really gone?
Allycat817 chapter 1 . 9/13/2008
that was really good. I was at school when i heard the news. I just remember walking into the classroom & noticing my teacher had the tv on (which was weird cause she rarely ever turned the tv on.) and seeing the smoking buildings. Even though i saw it, it never really sunk in until a couple years later. This was a really nice thing to do for the families and the ones who were lost.
Icyburn chapter 1 . 9/13/2008
A great reminder that no one will ever forget September 11.
The Banana Nut Muffin chapter 1 . 9/12/2008
Its good to know that September 11th isn't forgotten, and we honor those who died in that horrific accident..

Well done. :)
Qu-ko chapter 1 . 9/12/2008
You know, people, quite frankly, I AGREE with Lawbreaker. This is just... outright distasteful. I understand the want to do something to memorialize the day, but the way this was written... it really isn't much comfort, honestly.

Especially that last line, "she prayed for one more", since one could argue about the questionable nature of that line.

But I'll refrain from that and instead second the notion that I found this was a very empty, meaningless story; I don't mean the concept, I mean the way it was written. I've always disliked stories that take real tragedies and occurrences (9/11, dealing with cancer, etc.) and try to honor them, but instead wind up creating a shallow representation of them.

Maybe everyone else just has low standards, but I find this to be in rather bad taste.
SilRotter chapter 1 . 9/12/2008
Aw don't worry about what Lawbreaker says ... it's a beautiful story though I read it a day late. Though that's why I didn't put mine up because of that reason. I would believe to many people would either be hateful of it or really enjoy it ... good story though. It IS heartbreaking.
