Wow, this was really good.I agree artly cause mai wouldn't think of it like zutarians say and i don't think she would even think of "secret romance" because it just doesn't exist. Zuko is a good friend and a hero, the thing he did was because of his unquestonable honor and loyalaty. It's a shame how zutarians watch many other shows, movies and read book and still try to believe that zutara is at least 1% real. Anyway geat job.

Okay, a lot of people write Mai really out of character when it comes to the whole Zutara pairing. They make her unnecessarily mopey, or emo, or something that makes me want to crawl up a wall. But this story seems to have the whole Maiko situation captured impecably. You have Mai down pat, and she's a really difficult character to portray. That's probably because you're right, though-no one really knows Mai. This was a great fic.

I really liked your portrayal of Mai...it was very close (and in-depth) to her actual character in the show, something that you rarely see in fanfiction's these days. You should consider writing more about her, since you did an excellent job. Kudos, and keep up the good work.
