Reviews for The Boy Who Fell, A HP Starwars Crossover
LtsHrIt4ThBoyz chapter 30 . 7/15
Frickin' AWESOME!
Sorry, dear, I have no knowledge of the last three(?) movies, so I only have a 'glancing' knowledge of Ben Skywalker from your story "The Katarn Side" (god, I LOVE that story!); though this 'Ben' is an entirely different take on that character!

Great story! I'm so grateful for you not killing off nearly all the good canon characters like Rowling seemed to enjoy doing! I think she (or whoever actually helped her write the books ;D) thought that by doing that she/they would be able to avoid having to include them in any possible sequels! Lol!

I think it shows that she and George R.R. Martin think a lot alike and don't really LIKE most of their characters enough to want to allow them to live.., At least GRRM gives credit for characters HE'S stolen from other stories and authors. ;D

I loved how you delved into Luna's psychic and emotional pain and didn't just dismiss them and her subsequent behaviors as Rowling did in canon; passing her off as just 'odd' and air-headed. You made her into a REAL person; it and she was wonderful!

I loved how the 'cavalry' arrived and the close bonds they all shared. I got that lovely 'family' feeling that you're so good at!

Thank you for another incredible -and credible- journey!

Bless you!
MelJ :D

A really good story. I like this author because he/she completes their stories unlike so many others.
DeadFish37 chapter 30 . 5/30
Read this all today and enjoyed it quite a bit. Very readable and I enjoyed what you did by combining the two worlds. Originally I'd only read the Firebird trilogy, but as well as reading that I'm now going to read your other Harry Potter works, including crosses with Star Wars.
Mernom chapter 30 . 5/1
Great story overall. It sets up a few plot points that wind up not doing anything (the deathstick, the Quiddich team that doesn't get a single game, etc), but outside of that it's very enjoyable.
Mernom chapter 24 . 4/30
Oh no. He disarmed the deathstick.
Mernom chapter 16 . 4/30
Why was the trial room filled with journalists? There's only one news paper in the Wizarding world.
suziq968 chapter 30 . 4/29
I'd forgotten how horrible it got before the end. I now realize that's because of how wonderful the end is. Love Luna so much! Lots of therapy indeed.
CharlesDalby chapter 30 . 4/25
A most wondrous tale !

Time for a sequel ?
mumphie chapter 30 . 4/22
I loved this story. I was a tad sad to NOT have a Harry, but this wasn't a Harry learns the force thing, I know. i wish Flammel could have survived somehow. Ah well. You developed the characters and enriched the story. I can say, once again that I wish there was more. :)
Rilliane chapter 30 . 4/3
I've just re-read the whole story after a few years and what a ride it's been! I actually remembered only some of the plot points, so rediscovering it anew has been very enjoyable. I'm sure many people had said it before, but it's truly amazing that a HP story without Harry Potter could turn out to be so good. It was definitely more dark than the books, but I think that way it was more consistent with SW universe.
Again, good job!
Caver Floyd chapter 30 . 3/15
Good story. You did a good job of properly meshing Star Wars and Harry Potter without it seeming too silly. I would have liked to see more involvement from Muggle Britain though. I mean, they had the spaceship for a whole month. Even if the propulsion was burned out, just analyzing the astromech would have been a huge tech boost. I was also surprised that the facility it was kept at was not more secure. I would have expected it to be an underground facility.
Caver Floyd chapter 5 . 3/14
"If he keeps the Nargles away just by being around me, imagine what he could keep away by being IN me?"

I literally laughed for 30 seconds after reading this sentence.

Excellent story! Thanks..
Lady Eldaelen chapter 30 . 12/18/2019
In honor of new Star Wars movie week, here is a (five-ish years late) belated review. I love this story so much! The way you wove the two worlds together - your crossover skills are strong! I've read this a couple times through and it's just as binge-worthy as the first time. And this is the only Ben I want to know. Thanks for completing such a long and detailed masterpiece!
E chapter 30 . 10/3/2019
I found this story both entertaining and the right amount of brutal. Though I despise the notion that Voldemort, a dude who could practice at best necromancy and kill a lot of people at once, was at all close in power to the Reborn Emperor who tore a hole into reality with enough power to shatter an entire planet. Then you had him comparable to Luke Skywalker, who not only bested the Emperor, but has at multiple points proven to be so powerful in the force that he could destroy starships with a thought and vaporize armies with his gaze. I know for the purposes of the story, there had to be at least some threat, but I would have personally found it to be extremely awesome if Luke simply stood there, absorbed Voldemort's attacks, and then just waved his hand and ended him. The sheer power exuded in that motion would be awe inspiring. Not out of character for a man described as being a wall so immovable in his power that even the black hole at the center of the galaxy could not hope to effect him. This, said after casually surviving the power of a man who had the direct power of the entire Killik nest's force energy, said by his opponent. Yes, I think Voldemort would do very little to a man who nearly equals a Force God. I am sure that you know all of this though, as you seem quite knowledgable on both universes, and just chose the way you did for a specific narrative. That's fine, still a great story, I just disagree.
