Guest chapter 16 . 7/10/2015 I love this story please make stuff like it |
Sage of Wind Dragons chapter 12 . 6/23/2013 really taking out the control center was more important cause his second in command would be up there and either would get power hungery cause the viceroy was dead, or would get bullied by Sideous into continuing. So that was the battle that needed to be win on all fronts. the other three were less important but still. |
Obiwan456 chapter 16 . 7/14/2010 This story was perfect. I loved the movie of course, but this story filled in what the movie lacked, and showed The events between Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon in a much more understanding way. The things Qui-Gon did didn't seem so stark in your story, because it showed Obi-Wan knew his Master, and was able to put his actions into perspective to the knowledge of his love for him. I'm looking forward to reading part two. (I hope Siri and friends is in this one at least some, even in flashbacks, and will there be references to Jedi Quest stories?..:)~Obi's Mom |
Obiwan456 chapter 13 . 7/14/2010 Yay, you brought Siri into his thoughts. Naughty Eritae reminding him of what he gave up. I loved that "if he could be a Jedi and Siri's husband that would have been wonderful" Yes it would have. and I also loved the line "I have to return to my senses because they were missing me", ha ha ha, that made me laugh. Very witty writing style you have. Now Obi-Wan has to get his mind off Siri and back into the game..it's about to get very serious. ~Obi's Mom. PS: I know my reviews are all piling up on chapter one because this is a finished fan fic, so I'm trying to refrain from saying much, but sometimes I can't resist. (like now). I loved his epiphany with JAR Jar too. |
Obiwan456 chapter 10 . 7/14/2010 OH, Poor Obi-Wan. His reaction of anger and bitter thoughts only shows how hurt he was (is). Very well written, very emotional (which is quite a feat since you displayed little emotion in the chapter, but it rang out clearly in the dialogue and in his thoughts..nicely done. ~Obi's Mom |
Obiwan456 chapter 6 . 7/14/2010 loved this chapter. It just shows that Obi-Wan is still unsure of himself, and he sounded like me when he made that decision and then doubted himself afterward. Also, very sneaky! Getting Qui-Gon to take Jar-Jar, you really don't like Jar-Jar do you? I can see it, you are expressing your strong dislike for the Gungan through Obi-Wan ;). It also just shows how very young and very human Obi-Wan really is. (Aren't we all like that, really? :) I look forward to seeing how he matures in his thinking into more of the compassionate man he grows to be. ~Obi-Wan's Mom |
Obiwan456 chapter 4 . 7/13/2010 Taking a little break from housecleaning to read another chapter. Great so far, it's like watching the movies again, except from Obi-Wan's viewpoint. I'm enjoy this very much, I love his take on everything, and his dry, sarcastic wit. As I get further in (in all three stories), I'm hoping to find some interaction with his friends in the midst (Bant, Garen, Siri:), etc.) But if not, if you stayed pretty much to the movie/book stories, with references to the JA books, thats fine too, I'm enjoying it. ~Obi's Mom |
Obiwan456 chapter 1 . 7/13/2010 OK, I looked over what else you've written and found this and your two other ep. 1,2 and 3 stories from Obi-Wans point of view. I read the DArth Maul book (at least the parts with Obi-Wan in it, which wasn't much) and skimmed the rest of the book, so I was familiar with what happened there, and I LOVE if I've got it right, how you will not only tell these familiar stories from Obi-Wan's viewpoint, but also incorporating other books and Jedi Apprentice with them!I've wanted to see stories like this done. Can't wait to read them! ~Obi's Mom (sorry for the gush, I'll shut up now :) |
pbk chapter 16 . 5/19/2009 wow, that was really good. i actually got a little misty eyed, and it's very rare that a fanfic'll do that to me. well done! |
Eruhin chapter 16 . 4/17/2009 I actually read this story quite a while ago but were too lazy to review then, I admit. I really liked it, it was funny but also serious in the right moments and, most importantly, it was all about Obi-Wan:) I loved the idea that Obi-Wan realized that Qui-Gon didn’t betray him with the help of Jar Jar of all people:) I liked very much the whole part when Obi-Wan really understood why his Master wanted to train Anakin and that he meant it when he said Obi-Wan was ready for the trials. I’m also very glad of the way you handled Qui-Gon’s death scene. Many authors have Obi-Wan feeling hurt and dejected because his Master’s last words were about Anakin but I personally don’t think it was so. I think the love in Qui-Gon’s eyes and that small but loving hand gesture spoke louder than words what his Padawan meant to him (and of course there’s also their bond). I liked the scenes with Obi-Wan and Eritae. The “I have ripples in the Force?” line was absolutely hilarious:) The epilogue was a lovely and touching addition to the story, I really enjoyed it. I also wanted to tell you that I love the poem “I Asked God” on your profile. It’s beautiful and so true. |
Geri K chapter 16 . 4/6/2009 WoW it took me quite some time to completely read this wonderful story and I'm thrilled that I did. Your take on Obi-Wan and Qui-Gons earlier conversations was incredible and the added thoughts surrounding the actual canon storyline was superb. I like the way you handled it from Obi-Wan's POV mainly. You showed that there was more to Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan than we saw in the Movie. I'm not an Anakin fan, but I knew you were following canon. At least your version showed a bit of their first few days together. I loved the whole story. Well Done. |
Movie Chic chapter 16 . 11/9/2008 Great ending! |
Shyma Tavrott Lupin chapter 16 . 10/30/2008 aw *sniff sniff* yay for obi ani bonding! was this the last chapter? |
WhyMustIWrite chapter 16 . 10/29/2008 This epilogue was great. The interaction with Anakin was so well orchestrated. If it sounds better in your head than in writing, I wish to dive into your mind, however momentarily, to enjoy it there. But since I cannot, I'll tell you what I liked about the written version. Obi's musings on stars was a good way to set the tone and made it all the more interesting when Anakin comments on them later. But...shooting stars aren't stars at all! I'm quite willing to overlook that. Let's see...I had to laugh about Obi Wan matter of factly disabusing Anakin of his myths. It was very difficult to choose a favorite line, but I think I'll go with the part that ended "Master, oh that would be me." You incorporate Qui Gon's memory so well in this epilogue and you gave it the needed sense of closure while leaving it...unfinished. (Like that makes sense.) Anyway...great job! I like it a lot. |
Elenothar chapter 16 . 10/29/2008 Well, that was good (and kind of sweet). By the way did you read Matthew Stover's 'The Revenge of the Sith'? That with the 'even stars can burn out' seemed familiar (you know that book is really great). |
