I am, in love with this fic. Reading Firefly in Ice, I truly thought nothing could beat the charm and beauty that fic had with its characterisation, and the way every description blended in together to create a seamless masterpiece of delicious writing. But boyyyyyyyy I'm not SURE ANYMORE GAH. The fic... I love it. From the get go, I fell in love. The dynamic between Atem and Yugi, and watching it shift back and forth as more context is given with the flashback part, only to jump back to the present and give us the most delicious interactions between them ohhhhhh boy. I am, incredibly enamoured by this two, and I love their relationship. A bit of enemies to lovers feel here, and it's just portrayed so wonderfully I find myself wanting every scrap of information about these two I can muster.
Yugi is fucking fantastic, flawless, so well portrayed, and I love everything about him. I love the way he loves and hates Atem, and how he deals with his situation. I am just IN LOVEEEEEEEE.
And dude, my dude, friend, I am... I love that smut scene. From the deepest darkest pits of my desire for Yugi topping in puzzlefics, let me just say that smut scene was fucking FANTASTIC. Atem power bottoming is wonderful and I love how obvious it is that Yugi is really the one with power, and how he dominates in that aspect. I just, man Atem is hopelessly in love and so am I with how they act about it. Also just bless ur heart for writing Yugi not like a wimp, and giving me beautiful material where he takes charge in the bedroom. With how Yugi dresses and the implications, you'd think it'd be more common to have Yugi topping, but I can count on my hand out of the many many puzzlefics I've read how many times Yugi wasn't the one squirming under a dominating Atem. This scene was just flawless and I could reread it everyday it's so gosh darn perfect ahhhhhhhHHHHH seriously thank you so much for writing that I feel BLESSED to have had the chance to read it weeps.
Atem is wonderful too, and I just love the way he's head over heels for Yugi, but in the back of his mind knows he's been manipulated by it. I am like, such a sucker for the way the dynamic is portrayed so nicely, and damn I just wish I could read endless words about these two, my burning curiosity for what would happen next is SO STRONG AHHH.
But, like with Firefly on Ice, I understand how life can take you away, and the chances of you returning six years later to the fandom and fics and ship might be incredibly slim. I've never been good at learning when hope is lost though, so I'll be here, most likely drawing Atem on his throne with cobra Yugi, because I'm in love. Thank you once again for blowing my mind and writing such an amazing fic! You're incredible, take care, and I hope life is treating you well!

Wow! I really like the concept of this. And I love your characterisation, particularly of Yuugi. The plot is complex in a way that we really have no idea what will happen next now with Yuugi having abruptly departed. Well done!

Perhaps you won't be able to read this review by the lack of activity on your profile and your stories, I noticed you mentioned that you can't find the motivation and the inspiration to write again.

I think it would be bad from my part if I didn't tell you that it would be a shame to leave your stories in the middle of the plot. This is the best story I have read so far of the 'Puzzleshipping' couple and I have never said this to any other writer.

There's nothing I didn't enjoy most of the plot, it was perfect and unusual. To have Yugi become a dominating and strong character was such a surprise to me that I couldn't wait to read more about the interesting turn in his personality.

I contratulate you for your work and I hope that you find the inspiration again to keep sharing your beautiful stories.

Oh man I wonder what Yuugi is planning to do! He has some evil plan up his sleeve. I'm worried Atemu will get hurt. And I'm looking forward to seeing more flashbacks as to when Atemu was a kid clinging to Yuugi 3

of course huh but it seems that choices will leave them estranged as is why must these stupid trials arise in the first place really its not like its Atemu's fault Yugi is stuck that way he had nothing to do with it the only thing he has is eternal love for Yugi and what he's gone through for his sake but now that seems to be wavering huh seriously what is the point they arent saying everything and clearly they are useless why deny your demon his desire and be open to danger this way now the threat could come at just this time and you will have no way to save yourself well least Yugi may just very well get his wish then to be free if its that much trouble its such a shame really huh but I guess pride does go before the fall and in this case its dragging a shit load of heart break in along with it keep up the great work gtg now JA NE

This is a really amazing story so far. I'm not exactly imagining Yugi when he's in his animal form but in my mind I know it's him and thats all that matters.

I feel bad for Yugi and I feel bad for Atem. :'(

i really don't feel like leaving a huge, long, expansive grovelling review for this begging you to update.

i've left quite a few of those recently, and they take a lot of effort, you know?

also, this story doesn't seem to be likely to update anytime soon. (it's been what, like at least a year and a half since the last chapter, right?)

Oh man, that was fantastic! I seriously just devoured all four chapters of yours in what feels like a second (but unless my clock is lying to me, was actually a fair bit longer than that). Your writing is absolutely absorbing, and I absolutely love-love-love how you portrayed Yuugi. I never would have thought I would love dominant-Yuugi so unbelievably much, but my friend, I am dying for more! I'll be patiently waiting for your next update. This is extremely well written and the idea is gold! I really liked the different way the characters are presented along with Yuugi's and Atemu's relationship. It's an interesting and complex thing and I loved Yuugi's explaination to the girl, that he loved Atemu but he would still kill him. I liked how it described a demon loving a human, not a demon with human feelings.

Anyways, I delightfully wait for more chapters. Keep the wonderful work and I'll gladly keep reading. :)
