Interesting and captivating in its owns ways, but not really that good as a character piece. Light would never give up - for moral reasons, personal ones, or whatever else. He would have fought to change the world, to do something with his existence. To simply give up is so anathematic to Light I cannot comprehend it.

It's bittersweet. L decides that Light must live through himself. Just like with Ryuzaki.

Shoot. This was so powerful. I cannot find the right words to describe the emotions that this is stirring up. The way you described Light and L's relationship was sort of like love, but different somehow. It felt more... obsessive? I'm not sure. Whatever it is, it's freaking amazing. Kudos to you.

I've probably said it before, but I'll say it again. Yours is the most unique take on villains I have ever read. It's beautiful, captivating, and eye-opening. Your pacing is perfect, your descriptions entrancing - I'd be envious if I wasn't frozen in awe.

MPD? Maybe. Light and Kira... Light is different now. He's changed from the guy he used to be, bored. Now he's... he's something else. Kira is justice, or maybe not. Kira I'd death. Kira is not Light. But both are the same.

Shame you're dead here. Are you actually? Maybe. I'll never really know.

So light dies and L adopts him in his entirety (attitude, walk,etc.) to preserve his existence. Poetic, and sad.

do have to question the K rating... though it doesn't matter so much with Death Note since that is dark enough on its own. I do think this should be rated T, but it's not... a big deal, I guess...

Ok this was amazing and tragic and heartwrenching. The ending, with L adopting Light's name and actions is kinda like how he adopted the name Ryuzaki from B. I wonder the meaning behind that...
