Nice job! Shelby got what is coming to him. Unfortunately, the whole planet had to suffer before he got what he deserved.

It's nice to see some Forthright fic! I like some of the issues you brought up, and how they were treated rather lighthearted because of the main character's point of view. The implication that only people who could pay were able to escape the planet makes sense enough and sent some shivers up my spine.

My one piece I felt the intro could have been a little more colorful/detailed to pull the readers in. To me, the fic felt like it didn't really begin until the second paragraph.

I'm so glad someone thought to write a fic about Shelby Forthright. Even though Auto is the immediate villain of the movie-and gets plenty of attention in fanfiction, so I see-it was really Forthright that put the Earth's fate in motion by abandoning the cleanup project. I think he has a lot of potential as a fanfic character, spending his final days brooding over his failure and all that.

I always LOVE it when people play with ideas like these. Shelby just sort of got forgotten by the fandom...I don't think I've seen much talk of him at all! Not even HATE!

This was actually a very intriguing piece. The fact that after Earth was ruined it was all over for him never occurred to me. But it does seem pretty true when you think about it.

So you finally wrote it. xD Very nicely done. A little short, but pretty good. I would have thought this sort of story would need to be longer, to really get into the characters emotions, but hey. You're the author.
