Ooh, I LOVED that, especially how you managed to have her thoughts flow with her memories like this:

She found herself terrified, and by the time he'd closed the majority of the distance between them, she couldn't help but immediately freeze as she stared at him. His eyes, not the scars, but his eyes. They were the things that both captured her attention and scared her the most. They were so dark and empty and haunting, and yet somehow they seemed to glow with excitement at seeing her, seeing the fear in her eyes. And then he'd grabbed her face, forcing her to-

“Look at me-”

And then she'd kicked him after being forced to listen to his story, though whether it was true or false she didn't know, and he'd laughed it off. And he'd started dangerously walking to her once more, pointing the knife at her and smiling, always smiling-

“A little fight in you...I like that-”

That was awesome. :) But yeah, it was creepy too, with the whole dead woman thing... *shudders* And grah, cliffhanger! Phone sex WOULD be nice, but OOC on Rachel's part. ;0P

Ok, not too bad! It was actually pretty good. I liked Harvey Dent in this chapter. Life would be complete if I had a guy like Aaron Eckhart hovering around me like that...sigh.

I can't wait for the "real fun" to begin. This story holds a lot of potential to be really, really good. Hopefully you'll update soon since you have the "filler" chapters out of the way. But until you do, I'll be waiting patiently by my computer, wishing for an update.
