What a beautiful little piece about Dean's love and understanding of Sam. It also had some aspects of a character study, examining how Sam might react to stress/traumatizing events by not eating. Personally, I found that very relatable, because unlike most of my family I lose my appetite completely when stressed. :) I know that in your story Dean caught Sam induced vomiting, but I got the impression that it didn't start that way. Having to watch Sam struggle to force down food while under Dad's stern gaze was one thing but catching his kid brother holed up in the bathroom, leaning over the toilet bowl with two fingers shoved down his throat was another. *jaw drops* Ohemgee, Sam went downhill... Aw, John, Mary, and Dean's favorite foods... Sam finally ate :) So sweet. |
