That was an amazing couple of chapters! I loved the way you started in the present and then, over the course of six chapters, took us back in the past to Medda's day. It was a great excercise in characterization - plus it was such a great thing to read, being a history buff!

Can't wait for the next thing to come from you ;)

Aw! AHH! Medda. Her mother? That was shocking! I loved it though! It ended really well. I like how it went backwards in time instead of starting with the oldest relative. It definantly helped the ending!

Lol, that was the shortest version of Rae and Beau's story I've ever seen - succint but right to the point ;) And I really like how Rae got the pearls. It's such an overarching them throughout this and it's so nice to see that she got them from Cap's mother!

Aww, that was adorable. Well, reading about Hannah's store - not Liam's abuse, of course. Spot is such a bum in this... maybe there'll be more about that in the next chaper? Hmm... I guess I'm just gonna have to read on and find out ;)

Oh, that was awesome! Two of my favorite things in one: baseball and newsies :) Not to mention the idea of girls playing ball... it seemed to come right out of A League of Their Own (another personal favorite, too). I loved it!

I love the stories you've created for the women. They're strong characters and just, so interesting.

I also like how the pearls connect the stories together, and not just because the characters are family. It's so very good! I hope you'll update soon!

Oh, wow. Rae, you have such a way with words - seriously, you just pull at the heartstrings and evoke such strong emotions with your stories.

I felt so bad for Riley... what a tough life she must have had. At least, after all that, she (hopefully) got her happily ever after.

I think it's fascinating, the way you're working back in history to tell this story. I can't wait to see what happens next!
