PensandPencils chapter 1 . 9/23/2011 The characterization of Ryan in this story is flawless. Your writing was brilliant, with humor cropping up in unexpected places in a story that deals with such serious topics. Bravo. |
tcsportsmed7 chapter 1 . 2/13/2010 Awesome! |
JaredsGirl23 chapter 1 . 6/6/2009 you cant end it there ! so good ! :P |
11nivea342 chapter 1 . 3/6/2009 just.. wow. this is so beautiful and so sad. first off, i love the thoughts you have for ryan. they're PERFECT. the bits about how he has his daughters and they can still beat up seth, about how he's not old, the convo with his secretary, the bits with taylor... reading about his little girls, "Four" in particular, had my heart MELTING. MELTING! oh, so beautiful. but reading the bits about sophie... so perfect. i can't imagine the pain ryan felt when he realized, his little sophie, was being hurt... gosh... you have it so perfect. amazing work on this. |
MarauderGirl101 chapter 1 . 9/28/2008 It was amazing. I literally stopped breathing near the end. It was perfect. |
storymom chapter 1 . 9/7/2008 Oh why don't you just kill me now and get it over with. Damn, much, just damn. Remember my love from Discovery? I'm taking it back! You're too mean. *mwah* anyway cause I miss you. But you're mean. |
Mirella chapter 1 . 9/7/2008 Damn, just damn. That was devastating. What's intriguing is thinking about what Ryan would do next... I'm so glad you've got the juices flowing again! |
TheChic chapter 1 . 9/7/2008 Oh dear lord...this is just so wonderful, much. But you do realize that you've left Ryan with an even greater dilema, don't you? Now what does he do with this knowledge? Who does he tell, how does he handle it. Better yet, how does he get Sophie to leave the bastard? And he must, of course. One shot? Oh much, how could you? |
snapsparagus chapter 1 . 8/14/2008 Wow, this was amazing. So tense and realistic. Loved Ryan's daughters. |
fifimom chapter 1 . 8/13/2008 You've left Ryan without air to breath and me without words to write. I wonder if you realize just how wonderful a writer you are? Thanks for sharing. |
famous99 chapter 1 . 8/11/2008 I bet I missed this along the way on LJ. I've missed so many of your wonderful stories. This was heart wrenching. You captured the Sophie-Ryan relationship as I would imagine it. Ryan the involved big brother, close to home, even when juggling his own family. You captured Ryan as I imagine him as a dad. Caring, involved, gentle, and a little bit out of his elements as are many dads. I particularly loved this line "Six is a bag of microwave popcorn vibrating with excitement." and imagine I'll be plagiarizing at one time or another. What a beautiful simile. And while you have an 'end,' I'm wondering how Ryan will react. Will he revert to his youthful days - angry, sullen, vindictive or will Ryan help Sophie in a mature Sandyish way? This begs for a follow-up. |
krisz chapter 1 . 8/10/2008 Fabulous story! Very emotional and touch subject. You wrote it very well. Leave it to Ryan to be very busy in his own life personal and work to be able to realize the differences in Sophie. I am really glad she came and talked to him about it. Loved Ryan and his 3 girls, especially Four. Loved that she could beat up Seth. Also very funny when Kirsten tried giving him advice about brushing her hair when it was wet and then he made her wear the basbeall hat. LOL. Loved Tara's comments! LOL. |
Ansy Pansy aka Panz chapter 1 . 8/10/2008 OMG this was so powerful. You built up the tension so well. It was so painful because I could guess what was happening and I wanted him to find out quicker but you did an amazing job of making it real and slow and the interaction was perfect. I also loved the mentions of his children so cute! |
Mischievous.Eyes.9 chapter 1 . 8/10/2008 Great story. Sad, but great. The writing was superb. I loved two, four, and six. Actually, I loved it all. Good job. |
Taylorforever chapter 1 . 8/10/2008 Oh my, that is a wonderful story. So well done. Of course it is up to Ryan to find out. And the way he is with his girls. You know that is exactly what I wish for Ryan after all hes been through - such a normal peaceful and love-ful live. Thanks for that story, its one I can carry around with me for a while.
