| PartyPenguina3 chapter 1 . 6/22/2013 Go forth in peace, to love and serve the Dark Knight fandom! This is so accurate. I can't even believe how accurate this is. I run into SO MUCH of this on the Phantom of the Opera fandom. Almost half of the fanfictions are by authors whose names are "xxxpHanTOmxPHANxLuverXSoulmatexliFExxx" and it's a self insert, and it disgusts me. ICK SELF INSERTS. See, I'm a Harley/Joker shipper. So, when I'm browsing a long the comic book section, I don't have too much of a problem with characters being OOC because the Joker's much less serious, Harley's more of a ditz, and most importantly it doesn't have Heath Ledger. That last part eliminates 95% of fangirls. Nothing against Heath though, his wonderful acting and terrible sexiness just have unfortunate consequences. HOWEVER, once I hit the BB/DK fandom and look through Joker fics... GODDAMNIT THESE ARE ALL SELF INSERTS WHO'S KIDDING WHO? Yeah, maybe they don't have all of the life crises they give their OCs, but they're darn well imagining themselves in their place. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I LOVE YOU. I HOPE YOU'RE BLESSED WITH THE LOTTERY OR SOMETHING. |
