I'm not sure why this doesn't have more reviews, because it was beautiful. I like how you've gone into this with the idea of a pre-established relationship, because that makes the pain and the anguish that the Doctor endures during The Idiot's Lantern that much more real and tangible. I like the intimacy you've portrayed between them here, how Rose calms his fears with a single thought. More than this being about the smut, I felt like we were priviliged with the opportunity of witnessing a tender moment between Ten and Rose that you don't see often in the series. The mood and tone of this piece really resonated with the episode that inspired it, and I could easily imagine this as canon.
