Ahhh! I know my reviews are redundant . but I wanted to let you know how great I think your stories are. I was so sad for Haru in this one! She was truly given a harsh punishment, one I was so surprised to see what the living loophole turned out to be! I loved how it played out and the end was so good! I was sad someone had to die, but it was for the best. I try to leave my reviews vague so that I don’t leave spoilers for others so I hope I didn’t leave too big a one there. Can hardly wait for the new one!

Very sweet and soothing

Hey, long-time reader, first-time reviewer. :)

One of the things I like about your writing is how you handle the "lovers becoming the same species" trope. It would be easy enough just to have the love interests become "compatible" (which seems to be the end goal of many a teenage writer of the female persuasion) and end the story there with them declaring their love for each other. However, I like that even if Baron and Haru realized that it was fate and eloped five minutes after Baron became human, there's a plot going on that still needs to be resolved. Haru can't walk away from her problem, no matter how hunky her new boyfriend is. Their relationship isn't a "romantic plot tumor" that takes away from an interesting story. Baron becoming human has a purpose beyond marrying Haru: it shows the lengths that he's willing to go to solve the problem (even if it was an accident, he still put the effort into helping her); it reveals more of how the curse works (he doesn't ignore Haru); his presence allows Haru to get fellowship that she had been craving for so long, and they're even allowed to bond as friends outside of the lighthouse (going grocery shopping). All in all, it's a great "midpoint game changer" - so congrats to you!
