I don't think that there is enough story to properly criticise, so you should write some more.

You've done a good job seeing as this is only the second chapter and sorry it's taken such a long time for me to review, but as I've told others I live in Texas and Texas was hit by Hurricane Ike a week before I got this email. My hous didn't get any damage and I've waited to find this chapter. Keep going you're a good author, and believe me I know a good author of ASOUE stories when I see one.

I think you did a great job writing in Snicket's style. It was an interesting read and I really wish something like this had happend in the books.
