Very interesting so far. Just a few things at the beginning I must touch on: the word 'flesh' makes me think less of skin and more of something from out of a horror movie. Nowadays most people don't use the word for the norm. In fact, you'd find the term 'fleshy' more often than flesh.

'Crystalline' is another one. Except the reason for its scarcity is because it can sound downright cheesy. People have been abusing words like that for decades. You know, those descriptions of Mary Sues we all know and 'love' (heavy sarcasm):

"She had long, lustrous blonde hair and crystalline blue eyes, a curvy figure, and a smile that screamed 'aren't I perfect'?"

In this instance, the word crystalline painted a picture of Kai's eyes just sparkling to me. It didn't sit right. His emotion was too ... obvious? Or maybe it made him seem too fragile. Like a dear or a doe. It's a really nice image for Kai, but not one I actually see him adopting. His eyes could have been bright maybe, or perhaps dull. You could have described him making an effort not to cry, but his eyes filming over anyway. I'd get the mental image of him tearing up, but it will stay in character. 'Crystalline' is a no-no.

The way you narrate, though. Enchanting! I really, really like it. It helps keep my attention. Moving on. _

I'm finished! Awww.. That was truly awesome.. It felt good to know that Kai lived and Voltaire died.. But you didn't say anything about Boris.. But it doesn't matter..

You really favored angst/tragedy... I just noticed in your other beyblade fics.. (I haven't read it yet..just the summaries..) and I can say, you sure can defeat TigerTerror in torturing Kai.. And it was impressive that you were able to continue your fics even it was years ago, (something that I lack of. ;p ) Though the last two chapters are confusing cause of the preview in chapter 22, it's still cool! Well, that's all. More power and success to you!

Waaaaahhh! Bryan died! :'( {and I thought it was Tala who was shot.. But I don't like him to die anyway, so as Kai.. } I think they are OOC, but hey! This is your fic, I can't do anything about it. Besides, I read a lot of other fics which they are OOC too, so it don't matter..

Who was dead? And I'm sorry if I didn't review on some chapters as I promised. It's just that I don't know what to say and I'm busy reading this... I was eager to know what will happen next.. And poor Bryan and Tala! They're both under Boris now.. T_T

I just remember the girl that aided Kai in the very first chapter (not the maid). I'm just wondering who it is and if she'll be included in the story later. And I can't imagine Bryan having a Chemo? (I thought that if you're under that therapy, you'll gonna lose your hair? Was that right?) Anyway, I like this fic so far, though I felt sorry for Kai.
