Okay, I'm definitely defining this as hilarious. Bwahahahaha! "Of course it won't stay still! It has no brain and it is round!" I burst out laughing after Maglor said that. And I didn't quite know that cantaloupes can be such 'a formidable opponent'. (laughs again)

I like your idea of the brothers. I've always thought Maedhros was generally good-natured, and I love the image of him pulling a sword on a melon instead of just asking one of the kids to hold it. Really fun story!

Not the usual kind of story you expect to read when reading about these particular Feanorians, but I loved it. I really laughed out loud. Nice to see a different take on Maglor and Maedhros that doesn't involve grief and angst. Very original and genuinely funny. Also, great writing. Faved.
