Beautiful

I’ve returned to this piece many times over the years. This has long been one of the most satisfying resolution stories I’ve read. I feel like this is the only kind of scenario that truly ties up loose ends. I love that Akane gets to prove her abilities as a martial artist to Ranma, the Amazons, and herself. I always felt like the Shampoo issue could never be resolved in the story without Akane defeating her in some way. Wonderful story, and somewhat ahead of its time on gender identity issues as well. Thumbs up.

Just finished your amazing story... I especially enjoyed how you reversed the story. Akane is the one who fights for what she wants this time, and I love, love, love it. She's not a little girl anymore and she is taken seriously as a woman and as a martial artist. All characters are very well portrayed, the plot was great and your story was not just about our favourite couple but also about politics in the tribe, the other characters, and got me hooked until the very end (and I am proud to say I foresaw how that Akane would end the tournament). Anyway, thank you for this story - again - and I'm going to see what other wonders await on you profile page!

Fantastic story, as all of yours are.

I really enjoyed the extra stories within the story about Konatsu, as well as Mousse and Meifen. Even the little bits about Ryoga and Akari or the Kuno siblings helped make the story whole rather than just window dressing around the Ranma and Akane show.

Genma being more than comic relief was refreshing as well; training them all on their journey to rescue Ranma, almost attempting a heroic sacrifice like situation to let them escape after being injured in the raid, figuring out how to unlock the weights. For once this unlikeable man was actually almost sort of, well, likeable? Almost.

I love the loophole you used. Very realistic. Your fight descriptions are vivid and exciting.

Although I saw this plot twist coming, it was still great!

A really solid story (thus far). I love the realistic character development and descriptions. The dialog is well done, too.

Now I've read this story already so this is my 2nd go at it. I'm am huge fan of yours and I've read all your stories before, so I'm just winding up to read them all over again. Really looking forward to The Silent Horse as well as it's one of my favorite fanfiction ever. I hope someday you finish your story Side by Side as well.

Loved the resolution. It's essentially how Ranma won the Martial Arts Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament way back when.
