This is so poetically haunting and chilling. I love the fact that you used the metaphor for dancing for the entire movie. Your word choices were beautiful and well-thought out, and I absolutely adore this!

Wow, Pip, chilling. I really loved how the metaphor of dancing intertwined Mrs. Lovett's and ST's relationship...what an interesting angle! It was like it was there all along, hidden in the work of the movie, but you've just now brought it out!

My only complaint would be that it was perhaps a bit short. You seemed to be climaxing up to a thunderous conclusion and then it sorta fell off at the end, simply because it felt like it was missing a bit in the middle-more specifically between "but I should have known better...your hands slip from mine for the last time".

But otherwise than that, great! Great job. You should write more for Sweeny Todd, for sure.

Pip! This is just seriously...pure genius. I love the whole extended metaphor concept of relating dancing even more to their relationship. Your word usage is brilliant, and Sweeney is very much in character, so much that it's actually kind of freaky...in a good way, of course. XD. Great job!

There were a few slips into 21st century-type language (the one that really jarred was "But you’re thinking maybe the record just skipped a couple of notes, right?") but overall this was awesome, with some truly amazing moments: "I learned to dance, Mrs. Lovett.", "I slew the bastard who made me the way I am."

That's so cool! I love how you use the metaphor of dancing for their whole story, not just the final scene.

This was definitely one of the most beautiful, poetic, amazing fics I've read. It's haunting but very in character. Excellent depiction of his heartlessness and total depravity.
