Wow, great fic! LOVED the glimpses through the years, I'm a real sucker for stories like that. Loved how you structured it, each new section starting with Sam's age.

Some great lines: "He whispered himself hoarse, exhaustion hung around the child like a blanket, but for once he didn’t fall asleep. He couldn’t, not while Dean still needed him." Aw...that's SO sweet. *sniffle*

Loved Sam's determination: "Nothing was to big an obstacle to keep him from Dean."

And his devotion: "Because nothing would ever be ok if Dean wasn’t."

And his protectiveness: "Somehow he would save Dean, if it was the last thing he did."
