OK OK... I know that you wrote this fic a reaaaalllly long time ago but all I can say is HOLY FRAK THIS IS THE BEST A/R FIC I HAVE EVER READ AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH! It made me laugh, it made me cry a little, it made my scream out in rage. Only one scene from BSG actually describes how I feel.

I'm not going to lie, I was really skeptical when unread the summary and first couple of lines. I'm so glad I stayed with it, because this is one of the best AUs I have ever read. Words cannot describe how wonderful I thought the style, plot, and character development were. I caught myself believing that Laura Roslin was the last of the Final Five (a better choice than Ellen Tigh, of all people).

Um, WHY does this have so few reviews? It's wonderful so far. I'm excited that I finally found a long fic about them that is well-written. The exchange at the end there was fantastic.

Dramatic, to say the least.

The opening scenes as Laura tried to cope with the realisation that she’d essentially failed in her ‘mission’- as well as her subsequent resolve to continue trying to protect the people- were very powerfully-written, and the subsequent plot proved to be highly engaging.

Not only were the resulting divisions among the fleet over the news about Earth very effectively presented, but that moment when Baltar stood up for Roslin was surprisingly powerful while still appearing in character, and your ‘new’ explanation for the Final Five…

Bit tricky to follow- particularly the bit about Laura being ‘reincarnated’-, but a HIGHLY original concept despite all that, and her comments about Adama ‘breaking the cycle’ at the conclusion once again demonstrates what I’ve always liked about that guy; he might be old, but he ALWYS comes up with ways to surprise you (After all, it takes a certain skill to outmanoeuvre full Cylon forces with a battlestar as old as “Galactica” in my book).

Quite frankly, in the end my only FLAW with this story is that you killed Helo, and that’s just a personal issue rather than anything else (After Admiral Adama, Helo was always my favourite character; I always felt that they were two men you could count on to do the RIGHT thing rather than the EASY thing when faced with that kind of decision), so I’m willing to ignore it.
