T-T so very pretty... Matt was all "I-don't-really-care-anymore" and I loved that. The statement "rebels till the end" made my body produce fangirl goosebumps, that's what I really love bout MxM. Nothing more to say, you've captured them very well in so little words and that's some skills.

I dropped by today for no ther reason that to remember good old times in the DN fandom. And I stumbled upon this story and I couldn't be happier. This is beautiful. It's heart-breaking because their whole story is indeed way too tragic for most writers to figure out - that included myself -, but you did it, and you did it like no one before you. Or dare I say, after you. This is PERFECT in every way.

And the moment you mentioned "gravestones" I teared up. Great job. :)

Oh, it's /beautiful/, the imagery is just heart-breaking, and it reaches such a gorgeous, perfect climax...I could never have even dreamed for this.

I won't be able to give much more a review, because a piece like this just makes you think, and I want to cradle this story to my heart because it's a wondrous thing in the murky waters of crap fan fiction.

You're too modest. That was painfully beautiful. The shortness made it better, it didn't drag on, burying you in a sea of detail; more like gave swift and sweet kisses. Very nice. :3

I really can’t find a reason why the hell you have only 10 reviews! I have read like 100 Mello/Matt fics but this is the first that made me cry. ( And I believe I have read quite a lot outstanding stories too) It was so touching, aww those memories T_T I wish I had the talent to express myself about how I’m feeling right now. Good gosh. Good. Gosh. That is the most beautiful fanfiction I think I have ever read. You truly have a gift for the poetic metaphor, and the beauty of the parallelism from beginning to end brought a tear to my eye. Wonderful allusions, fantastic imagery... this is, by and far, a prime specimen of a fanfic. No complaints!

I'm sorry I can't think of a more imaginative way to start a review, but I really do love your writing. I like how the descriptions melt into one another. Perhaps it's just my fetish for hideously long run-on sentences, but I think it brings out the feel of what you're trying to say even better, when you described scenes of colours blending, of sounds and sights mixing and so on.

One of the prettiest lines inside, and also one - ONLY one - of my favourite lines: "It almost makes you want to cry, his crucifixion in winter for the ghosts of summers that will never come again." Pretty. )

I don't need your firstborn child, but another Matt/Mello story would be pretty awesome! Lol, thanks for writing and sharing this anyway.

This is... damn...the colours, the taste, the imagery. They contrast and blend and somewhere along the line I remember and think fuck constructive criticism. The images are so powerful it's like watching colour television rather than reading. All the senses used to describe the passing years, their developing and paradoxically underdeveloped relationship...ok words deny me. You get the pont, I hope.

Oh and using Saint Sebastian too! And you even anally mentioned Sebastian surviving all the arrows. And deny him martyrdom but give them both a rebel's death so soft and gentle and Mello's fingers splay out...Gorgeous!

And really, you can keep your firstborn, dear.

Okay, okay, I know reviews are technically for constructive criticism and whatnot, but they might also be for enthusiastic readers, and I'm definitely one of those, so yeah.

I have nothing to critique in this; it's abstract, you can do whatever the hell you want with it.

I loveth it. Quite a lot.

It gave me that sad, tingly feeling that I get whenever people lead stories into Mello and Matt's deaths.

I love the sensory descriptions in the beginning. The first one made me want to put some crayons near something hot and watch them melt, because the image is absolutely beautiful. I love it when authors can portray color with words. It's fabulous.

And the second one makes me want to go sleep in my backyard, because that's exactly what one hears at dusk out there. Complete lethargy is what it instills. That and raging swarms of mosquitoes, which aren't fun at all, so I shan't do that.

And the rest of it amazing. Just yes.

This is, if not, THE best story written about the life and death of Matt and Mello. You really killed me with the comparison between Matt and Sebastian. What I really liked was the telling of the years spent between them. It may be a short fic, but the point is loud. Very loud and it tugs at my heartstrings, not in the angsty way, but in the "that was done so right, so right" type of way.
