Guilty as charged - This is in fact a reworking of Chapter 5 'The Joys of Madness' from 'You Can't See Me - You're Dead'. I thought it could stand alone and give me something to post on the I-Man board (this was pre- 'Punishing Arnaud' and 'Convergence').
