I am so happy you wrote this story! I finally finished the book Christy a couple days ago, and I was so angry at the way it ended, I needed more closure! And I am thrilled to have found this! It fits in so well with Catherine Marshall's book that it really feels like the sequel that never had a chance to be.

Amazing story and one of the beat I have ever read. You captured all of the characters so wonderfully. If a sequel had ever been written this one would have been paired perfectly with the book. Beautiful job!

Thank you for a wonderful sequel to a book that I’d read years ago and just recently reread. I liked they ending to the book. I knew Christy would eventually be either Neil but part of me had always wondered what would have happened next. Your story followed seemllesly from the book.

I am only on chapter 4 but love your writing. It feels like a true continuation of the novel and picks up the story with all the characters so gracefully. Part of the reason I love Christy is the internal dialogue that is shared with reader and you seamlessly weave characters, events and that internal dialogue together. BRAVO! I also really love your personal comments and totally agree with your soapbox.

I just finished reading the novel two days ago and I was left feeling completely unsatisfied with the way that it ended, which is the same way I felt when I first read it six years ago. As I always do when I'm feeling so bereft about an ending, I went to this website looking for a kindred spirit who was unable to leave such a wonderful story unfinished. I did not expect to find such a painstakingly written, beautiful story that retained what I had loved so much about these characters. It only took me 2 days to read it, but I can't help feeling that it is the perfect way to honor this couple and these characters. I know that the original author of never got to write her sequel, but in my mind yours will take its place. Thank you for giving Neil and Christy the ending that they deserve.

Thank you for taking the time to write a follow up to the book faithful to the characters as they are portrayed in writing. Much as I like the TV characters, they are not the same and you seem to understand that.

As a women having been married and having children of my own, having Neil propose to Christy after her experiences in Cutter Gap including watching Ruby Mae go through labor and delivery it is perfectly fitting to her experience; it is real, and in someways it is very romantic. It's romantic to me because in spite of the ugliness and potential ugliness they have seen and been through! Neil still wants to be with Christy, and through all that with her in the future. It looks like he really loves her; whether it be Christy put-together and beautiful or Christy after a hard experience.

This was an excellent Christy/Neil story. I loved your plot and how true to the characters you were. Very enjoyable to read this from start to finish.

I always like it when I get review from stories, even when they're finished, so thank you for the wonderful read! Christy is my favorite book and this was a much better conculsion than the TV series. Keep up the excellent work writing!
