Iuvsbruce chapter 1 . 9/9/2017 You should seriously write scripts for this show. You not only excel at the brother moments, but you come up with some really fantastic creatures! Thank you so much! The Lord bless you bunches! |
Lucy chapter 1 . 6/30/2016 Amazing story! Really enjoyed reading it. Thanks again :D |
ThysaNoir chapter 1 . 12/31/2015 Somehow I'm half-expecting Dean to offer Sam to leave once again after he beat the crap out of him. Idk why. Maybe Im just addicted to the angst. lol. Anyhow, great story :) |
NoilyPrat chapter 1 . 12/20/2014 Yeah, as much as it would hurt Sam, he'd leave before he'd hurt Dean. And as much as Dean trusts Sam, it would hurt deep for Sam to walk out, no matter what. Says a lot of faith on Dean's part to know to poke Sam until he talked. Great monster! Loved the hunt, and the spell power. |
Ilia A. Jay chapter 1 . 4/3/2014 I love that you capture Sam and Dean so well! It's gotten to the point that I watch some Supernatural episodes where the boys say or do something out of character (not looking after each other, emotionally or physically, usually) and my brain pulls out all the references from your stories and is like 'see, look, this is what they REALLY think, how they REALLY feel' ...your writing makes it all better. p.s. Not that ooc moments happen often on the show - just every once in a while. And not that you've CHANGED them in any way, just sort of - pulled the blinds up a little on what's going on in their heads, so we GET why they do what they do. |
sapphireswimming chapter 1 . 4/11/2013 The battle flickered briefly across Dean's face: worry versus trust. Both were powerful forces in his brother, but Sam knew which would win, because Sam had asked for it, and Dean never said no to him when it counted. His face finally settled into a look Sam knew well. Resolve. "Okay." Just like that. Black-and-white was his brother. Either he trusted Sam or he didn't, and Dean always had, even in the days after Roosevelt Asylum. Sam had tested the bounds over the years of that all-or-nothing commitment, and had yet to find its limits. It was one of the many things he loved about his stubborn ass of a brother, puzzled over, envied, and counted on. This was the Dean who'd come to get him at Stanford, willing to do anything to have his brother back but bracing himself to say good-bye again at any moment. It had taken a while for that guardedness to fade and trust to regrow, but it was gone again now. And Sam started to understand that maybe his deliberately leaving had hurt more than anything he might have done out of his control. "Dude, did you see her body? Well, except for the legs, but nobody's perfect." |
JaniceC678 chapter 1 . 9/23/2012 Oh, that was good! The fight in the forest was downright painful to read! Can't imagine what Dean was going through all those hours that Sam was unconscious. (Was kinda waiting for a little more Dean-guilt while he's looking at Sam's battered face and bruised body - you know, the whole, "I nearly killed you" speech with barely holding back tears, but I know it's there between the lines!) |
Ginnylove9990 chapter 1 . 12/12/2011 Great story. I bet it was hard for Sam to get on that bus. And poor Dean. What he must have been thinking when he got back to threr room. and no Sam. Any why please keep up the great work. |
Nana56 chapter 1 . 1/6/2010 Wow! I really, really loved this. I mean really! The dreams and Sam trying to leave to keep it from happening *I could shake him for not telling his brother, tho.* I was a LITTLE surprised that Dean went after Sam, but he needed to, so that's cool that he did. Totally understood his wanting to forgive, but still being angry. Then Dean getting caught up by the creature himself. He'd been so protective of Sam and I wasn't really worried because she only seemed interested in Sam. Hehehe It's kind of, um...hot when those boys pound on each other. Watching the premiere the other day, it was good to see that little fight scene and then in Skin...I like that one, too. :D Anyway, that leads to caring and comfort and it's all good. Very nicely done. :) |
LittleLurker chapter 1 . 10/31/2009 Hey again, thanks for another great story! It nearly made me cry when Sam came to the conclusion he had to leave to keep Dean safe and alive... when does he finally understand that Dean needs him more than anything else to really be alive. Anyway, I also loved all the brotherly banter in between, all the times when either of them can apparently read the other's mind and I also liked the "monster-of-the-week", the deer-lady as Dean called her. It was different and a nice touch also with her telepathic power which they couldn't know from the deaths before, couldn't see on the photos or read in the files... very nice (and evil) add-on. Oh and the end - as usual - was just great. Especially this: “Your visions like me.” There was no way he could not smile at a declaration like that. “They like you?” “Hey, whose life do they keep saving, huh?” Mine. ...and, yet another thing to make Dean feel guilty. But I also loved Sam's reaction to this: Dean looked away, hands crooked over his thighs and idle. Sam hummed with energy when he was nervous or upset, but Dean grew still. “Sam, I’m sorry. I let that thing get in my head, and…” He shook his head. “I should’ve known better.” He wished he wasn’t lying down, looking up at Dean. Sam had to settle for sounding authoritative instead of looking it. “It got to me, too, remember?” “Yeah, but you pushed it out.” “Not me—it was my…shining, or whatever. And you telling me to fight it.” ...and you really, really have it down pat with the touches! This just made me feel all fuzzy, very beautiful: Dean’s hand settled lightly on his shoulder. It was the first time since he’d cleaned Sam up that he’d gotten so close, as if testing to see if his touch would be rejected or, worse, agitate. Sam had never been afraid of him, though, not even in the forest, and had even less to forgive. He sighed, letting the tension go, letting it all go. Dean’s grip slipped around the curve of bone and squeezed. Thanks again! Best wishes, D. |
Whilom chapter 1 . 9/2/2009 This was great! It was hard to watch Sam get on that bus, and I felt positively relieved when Dean followed him right on and threatened to drag him off. The part with Sam falling under the influence of the deer-woman was chilling, and well-written, especially with the details of him not recognizing Dean's face or hearing the words. Very under-water-like feel. And having Dean get taken under after that was great. Epic fight scene, with Sam taking on Dean's wrath-the real Dean, completely in control of your body Dean, Dean: heart, soul, and mind. Like you said, no shapeshifters here. This is the real deal, and it hurt so much to read. Therefore, it made Sam's recovery that much better. His pitiful, "My head hurts, Dean" was so sweet and vulnerable, and I can only imagine what it was doing to Dean. And I loved Dean's insistence that Sam's visions like him, because "Whose life do they keep saving?" and Sam thinks, "Mine." |
BlueSea14 chapter 1 . 1/9/2009 This was absolutely fantastic. :) Seriously, I loved the hunt, I loved the way both brothers acted because that was so completely the way they would act, and I loved the way it was all resolved. :) Good job! |
milkyway22 chapter 1 . 9/13/2008 Ah exactly my kind of story! Chock full of pain, hurt, confusion, anger, understanding, protectiveness, forgiveness, and lots of sarcasm and laughter. :) Its always amazing to see the wounds the inflict on each other but still manage to get past it and have some lovely brotherly love moments. Another intresting baddy a half-female, half-deer thing very interesting. Where do you find all of these? So she was a bit telepathic too? Or was that just Sam's brain doing those words in italic? The compelled and need? |
faith-in-Faith chapter 1 . 8/30/2008 Another master piece. This was perfect. the moster, the hunt, the banter, Dean's concern and Sam's loneliness and despair. Becaus God how lonely he was in this ans still not. I twas just amazing. "He was still sitting there when the morning light trickled into the room, and Dean eventually rolled over and gave him a sleepy smile, and Sam’s cracked heart broke completely." And so did mine. :( And with this, "The world needed Dean Winchester a lot more than Sam did. And he needed Dean like he needed air." The remaining parts of my heart shattered completely and I almost cried for him. But it all got better eventually and I loved the ending! *happy sigh* Thanks for sharing! |
Phx chapter 1 . 7/20/2008 Ooh, this was a wonderful gem and I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to comment on this before but I've read it a couple of times now and each time I still get chills when Dean is under the influence of the hoofed lady. Perhaps one of my favorite senarios as the influenced hunter turns it onto Sam when he perceives Sam as standing in the way :) Love how Sam realizes he is loosing the fight but is still determined to not hurt Dean and to try and save him. And the visual of Dean catching Sam just after Sam has killed the creature and is passing out is one of my favorite senarios. Loved how Dean is so sweet with Sam when Sam wakes up, not allowing his guilt to keep from offering what Sam needs. And Sam's line 'My head hurts, Dean' is one of my all time favorites. Sam just sounds so young and vulnerable and the words had to have cut Dean to the quick since Dean knows he is the reason his brother is in such bad shape. The comfort was awesome. I was a puddle of goo just reading it and went 'aw' too many times for it to be legal. And the ending? With Dean not letting Sam off about the car? LOl! What an excellent way to show that no matter what, the brothers were okay. Oh and how can I miss one of my favorite parts in all this? When Sam leaves because he is trying to protect Dean and Dean hauls him off the bus and then finds out why Sam left. I loved when the comprehension hits Dean that Sam doesn't want to leave but he is trying to protect Dean. Definitely on my list of all time favorites! |
