This is my second review after a year. I just want to tell you, that every time i read this story, the hair on my neck stands. its so captivating and a promising story.

Hm. I suppose it makes sense for him to take out the weakest and least-noticeable betrayer first, but Mrs. Figg always seemed like the least guilty to me. After all, she's a Squib. Albus Dumbledore is a top-rate Legilimens (at least in his own mind). It's entirely plausible that she TRIED to do something, Albus found out, and she ended up under fifteen different compulsion charms by the next Friday. It's not as though she has any defenses, after all.

Nice oneshot. I liked the subversion of the usual Azkaban!Harry descriptions.

Dont know if you even pay attention anymore, but I just found your stories.

You said something about no physical abuse. Petunia tried to hit Harry with a frying pan (I think at the start of book two), and Vernon shoved Harry into his cupboard for punishment after the zoo.

Another amazing story. Wish you will continue and finish this.

Brilliant. Until Mrs. Figg I accepted that he was in Azkaban. This start could make for a superb multi-chapter story. What year does this take place? Reads like post year 5. JKR glossed over the abuse, but that mention of the frying pan, and the cupboard under the stairs speaks volumes. As this is complete, perhaps a sequel?

At first, I thought he was in Azkaban (sp?). It was only after Figg came onto the scene that it really hit me.

why is this a one shot?
