This is beautiful. I liked the fact that Donna's family were part story, and I agree with you that there is more to Sylvia Noble than "moaning mother". Your take on Geoffrey Noble doesn't go against anything established on screen, and it's certainly one explanation for the bond between Donna and her grandfather.

Come to think if it, the Doctor's very first companion was also an outspoken, brilliant young woman who was close to her grandfather...

I really enjoyed reading this.

Great job. That was sweet and I loved that Donna's life gets a little better after her loosing her memories, and those around her also.

This was really excellent, and I mean that sincerely. Before reading this I viewed the character of Sylvia from a discreet distance. I didn't like her at all, and couldn't fathom how someone as lovely, giving, and vivacious as Donna could have ever sprung from her loins. Now with the back story you've provided, I quite actually like her, I really do. And I love the idea that Syliva views her new outlook on life, and her daughter, as a possible gift from the Doctor. Donna's ultimate fate in Journey's End is difficult to bear, but with fanfiction like this around, it certainly eases the pain. Thank you so much for this brilliance! I loved it!
