viisan chapter 10 . 9/3/2016 The Milverton story is one of my favorites, so I was very excited to read it. I love how this story is so unique for a Holmes story, and this fic shows that |
Icecat62 chapter 10 . 4/22/2015 This was wonderful from start to finish. So much better than poor Aggie being kicked to the curb in the ACD version. Many kudos. |
Guest chapter 10 . 3/23/2014 A great story! This is not the kind of thing I normally enjoy, but you told it so well that I was completely captivated. |
cjn chapter 10 . 10/2/2012 Excellent! I love Watson at the end: "What the blazes was in that sleeping powder?" And I love Holmes and Aggie (and Lestrade) through the whole thing XD This was great writing & I totally enjoyed it :) |
Sffgcddrtfcvbhh chapter 10 . 4/16/2011 This is a GREAT story! |
millernumber1 chapter 10 . 1/20/2011 I love it - a believable alternative, and nice characterization. I guessed about Watson's plan, but it was very neatly executed. I now have imaginings of Aggie the super secret spy... |
han8661 chapter 10 . 8/15/2010 Go Aggie! Clever Watson! Holmes, um, bit, um, how do i phrase this, bit ignorant? lol. Great fic as always :) |
Singollo Lomien chapter 8 . 8/15/2010 Holmes is being such an idiot. He should have told Lestrade that he didn't want any of his many enemies to find out about his marriage because it would put Agatha in danger. I guess even great detectives can get flustered sometimes. |
shadowwolf chapter 10 . 2/15/2010 I was browsing when I saw this. I had to read it again it was so good the first time. You really have a talent. :) An interesting fact, this is the only story that comes up under the specifictaions of English, Humor, K-T, and Lestrade. You would think more people would have written in that area than just one. |
Arisprite chapter 10 . 1/17/2010 Man, I just wrote this long, amazing review and the internet ate it :/ Anyway... This was the second time I read this (the first time I shamefully didn't leave a review *hangs head*) and let me say that this was the most hilarious and fun story I've read in a long time! Through most of it I was laughing outloud (this was a problem the first time as I was in the library, I remember myself with my hand clapped over my mouth, desperatly trying to stifle said laughter,:D)I completely enjoyed Holmes' discomfort, and your Aggie was a treat! Just charming! Keep up the fantastic writing, and as much as I love your trek stuff, I'm dying to read more of Holmes. Just a thought :) Ari |
shadowwolf chapter 10 . 10/5/2009 :D You go girl! Aggie was thoroughly awesome! I loved your take on this. Sherlock totally deserved what he got! P |
Sarai chapter 10 . 2/16/2009 I could see those two in a real relationship. It'd be AU of course. |
forgiven4ever chapter 10 . 8/9/2008 Meh, bcbdrums was right. This fic is great. I loved it. This is my most favorite pairing ever and you've done an awesome job on this. Keep up your great writing skills. God bless, forgiven4ever |
smallrose chapter 10 . 7/21/2008 Quite a good story - for being totally uncanon. Will we ever see more of Aggie? I like her. |
E Phoenix chapter 10 . 7/19/2008 Aw, I do love poor Watson here. "Watson was slumped against the stair railing, to all appearances fast asleep again and beginning to snore softly. How the devil was he doing such a marvellous job of acting?" and Lestrade's reaction is marvelous: "Lestrade gawped for a moment before the irritation on his face faded to a bemused smirk. 'I suppose his story really is true then,' he grinned, 'as we both know he can't act at all. Now, your story on the other hand, Mr. Holmes…Miss Aggie…'" The inspector's reaction to Aggie's talking about Holmes' type is perfect, too, when he chokes lol. I near choked myself! AND I did choke when I read Holmes twirling Aggie around and Watson's open mouthed reaction. Lovely. I love the details of the chars interactions here and how "Watson paused mid-sip to glance at me over his cup incredulously, his eyebrows rising in that peculiar manner that invariably meant I had said something either incredibly unbelievable or inexcusably rude. As I had been entirely complimentary to him, I suspected the former." Heh. Very realistic description. Blooming brilliant of Watson to have drugged himself, btw, that was the perfect touch! Plus, I adored: "'My dear fellow, have I ever told you that you have the makings of an absolute genius?' He snorted with laughter, nearly spraying milky coffee everywhere, and I was quite ridiculously pleased to see his hazel eyes sparkle with a bit more life and pride at my praise than they had had previously. 'I don't believe so, no,' he chortled, grinning at me from round his cup." xD Girl, you can write! You do humor, you do suspense, you do angst, there's nothing you can't do! :D |
