This was an awesome fic! I am absolutely in love eig the whole thing, and I like how you made an issue that was never really brought up be the main focus! Bravo!

I don't really know what to say besides this was amazing. Very well written, and heart wrenching. I was teary-eyed and sick to my stomach at many parts. The way you portrayed the various relationships was spot on, especially in the case of Gus and Shawn - and the development of their relationship.

Thank you for writing this. This was an excellent, and very well written story. It was both captivating and angering— I was happy that you kept everyone in character, but the racist characters literally made my stomach churn. I don't understand people who judge others based on their skin, race, religion, sexual preference, or gender, and I don't think I ever will.

My family is Irish/German American, so I am white. I don't think I will ever understand completely how it is to be discriminated against. My best friend is black, and she is an amazing person. Her skin color has never been an issue between us, and why should it. How does her skin being black change who she is as a person?

We joke about how I am an unhealthily pale, especially when compared to my parents who both have an olive skin tone. We also joke about how much lighter she is compared to her parents, who are both very dark. But never did it matter to either of us.

Bigotry is one of those things I can't wrap my head around. However, I can't honestly say I want to be able to fully understand the thoughts of someone like that.

Thanks for sharing this story. I was very thought invoking (though many of the thoughts just served to frustrate me more), and I hope you will write something like this again soon.

These are the scariest kinds of characters-the ones who are mostly normal, but so evil at the same time. I started reading this last night, and as I went outside to go shopping, I just couldn't stop thinking about how...creepy...people like that are. I think, like Shawn in the beginning, I just prefer to think that people really aren't like this, and the one's that are are just sort of an abberation...

anyway, you made me think, and that's always a sign of a great story.

I really love how you managed to capture Shawn's spasticness, and Lassiter's and Henry's harshness and all the other characters were just spot-on, even though the circumstances are so much darker than the actual show. But as fully-fledged characters, I could really see how this could work with the actors and everything. Of course, the show itself seems to play down much actual character development for comedy, so this makes me appreciate this story even more. Thank you for sharing it :D

This was one of the most well-written Psych fics I've read, and I've read a lot. It's so easy to go over the top, violence for hurt/comfort's sake, so thank you for keeping it so real and about the larger issues and themes. Everyone was pretty much in character and the mystery part well thought out and believable. Kudos.

You know I love your writing! I can't believe it is over though. It seems like just yesterday I was sitting in front of my computer reading Chapter 1 in the middle of the night. What a wonderful night that was. *sigh* Every single time I have read a chapter my heart has literally hurt and my stomach has been sick and even as I write this my stomach hurts. Your writing is so good that it makes me physically ill. I love it! You ended it so wonderfully, but I'm selfish and wish you kept writing until your fingers fell off. ;) I kid, I kid (about your fingers falling off). Honestly, I wish you would sell this or make a book out of this because you definitely deserve more than just a review. The racism, the characters, the scenery, and the attack were just so well written and thought out. I can't wait to read more of your stories! Best of luck!

Just to say, this is one of the best written story I have read in a long time. The way you have structured it makes the reader feel as if they are there with the characters, their pain is your pain, their emotions are your emotions.

writing is loverly! Nice and detailed and an interesting plot. The only time that Gus's race is mentioned is usually as a joke (chocolate columbo, chocolate thunder etc.) and that one time they saw a confederate flag ("What's wrong with this picture" "Everything." hahahahaha) so it'll be interesting to see how you have gus react to his race really being an issue

O, can't wait to see if Shawn does something stupid or not! Although it seems more than likely that he just might... :) Update soon, please!
