wow! This was a great story. So dramatic, I just love it. And the epilogue was fantastic, I never thought that Zuko will be back to life but that was a great surprise. Thank you so much for writing this and sharing it.

Oh my God, words can't describe how much I ADORED this story. I was shaking since chapter 35 on and when Zuko died and seemed to stay that way, I almost lost it and how the rest of the world had to move on just tore me apart. But then you hit me with this epilogue that had me in literal TEARS of joy! After the misery he endured, Zuko deserved happiness, deserved to be loved and adored and I'm so happy Katara was so determined to find it to make it happen! Thank you for this story and this refreshing take that is so different from other ficts I've read. Absolutely splendid! Love how it turned into a civil war/revolution and all the lengths they had to go because it's true, it's WAR and sadly, the brutality of it is too all real. Thank you for this gem. I can't wait to read it again!

It's amazing! I really loved reading this, some fiction, some war and blood, some love and some zutara!

What a goddamn story. I have no idea how I never came across this before. I don't even know what all to say about this.

It's not a zutara fic I would normally turn to, nor the writing style the fandom is probabaly used to. And thats what made this story so incredible. The concept, the plot - I've never seen it before. The way you got into everyone's heads added such a depth to the story. Five years later, it hits deeply, because of the parallels between what Zuko understood about the Fire Nation and what we now understand about Western imperialism today. The world you created was facinating, and despite the length, kept a rapid pace throughout every chapter.

You're a unique storyteller, and I wish you the best.

I don't know if I should keep reading this... The reviews made it sound good but the writing style is off

Ok, I will just write it on the first chapter, even if this fic deserves at least one rewiew for each, because I just finished it all in a single day and I couldn't put it down.
THIS IS AMAZING. Truly, perfectly an awesome piece of literature. It made me cry many times, plot and characterization are spotless.

I absolutely adored this, but I can't help but wish that I didn't read the epilogue. The sacrifice that Zuko made almost feels ruined to me. Now that I think about it actually it reminds me of then Code Geass R3 was announced, I was incredibly great fly to find out that Lelouch was alive but at the same time I felt somewhat... betrayed I suppose (though I'm not entirely sure that that would be the right word) at the end of Code Geass I cried because this person that had come to love, and still do, died with his baby sister screaming and the world cheering his death. Here is the same and as much as I love this there's this part of me that feels that in actually showing that Zuko was alive took away from the impact that his death had.

Does that make any sense? I dunno I'm still reeling a little and it's a bit too late to go back and read this review again.

Please post something to explain the bigger picture because seriously i don't understand how a bunvh of bender defeat a full organized,experienced and trained army.

this story is amazing but don't you think the earth kingdom's army was more powerful than a group of prisoners? the army of a country who is more than ten time larger and a army with massive number against a little and extremely trained army.

Wow. Thats all I can say. This story was amazing. I'm honestly in tears. For Zuko to do all of this was... I can't think of a to discribe. He was only a child - they all were. And I'm a little upset. This was Adventure and Agust and I don't think I've ever been this deeply affected by a story/fanfiction. I read this in a day, and I have never been so heartbroken, lost, empty, and drained all at once. I applaud you, this was amazing. A new fave.

Oh, you had me quivering with rage there towards the end! Loved the epilogue though :) made life better!
