Reviews for Imperatif Biologique Oblige
femme4jack chapter 1 . 8/15/2013
This was too marvelous for words! I never knew how much I needed mecha-turned-slug-porn in my life until now. I DO! Love all the biological detail and the parallel of data-sharing and genetic-material sharing. Way hotter than I ever could've have imagined and I'm so going to watch that vid 3
Knocks chapter 1 . 9/23/2009
This...this explains the comic strips I saw on Deviant Art.
JJStar chapter 1 . 8/29/2009
*cough cough* Um, I am not quite sure what to say about this? Accurate and disturbingly cute? Pretty much everything that I would state has already been said, so I'll go with, uh 'Yay for well-written-slug-smut'

*shifty eyes* That felt awkward, good job though!
Darkest-Doctor chapter 1 . 6/7/2009
...guh...buh...wha...?

Yes this IS the first of it's kind...and I want some of whatever you were on when you wrote this.

I'm not kidding.
Guest chapter 1 . 5/29/2009
... Alrighty, then.
Beware of Dragon chapter 1 . 1/19/2009
LOL, that fics was awesome in all its biologically accurate glory. I took a couple classes on invertebrate zoology several years ago and this made me squee with joy.

I find it amusing that, no matter what the fandom, whenever someone gets changed into 'something' it's always something powerful or cool-looking. No one EVER gets changed into a slug or something similarly ignanomous, kudos to you. And despite the subject material it was weirdly sexy.
51215fgdfh1654h5f chapter 1 . 12/2/2008
Um, lol? xD That must be one of the strangest fics I've ever read. Goes right next to the motorbike pron I once read (yes, there is a fic like that), I think.

Hm, now I've a strong urge to read some more JazzxMirage (as mechs, please). :)
Lucia Di Lammermoor chapter 1 . 8/28/2008
Why u do dis?
Robin Moto chapter 1 . 6/30/2008
I enjoyed that, it was definitly unique but a great deal of fun.
Catch23North chapter 1 . 6/29/2008
I can't believe I'm reviewing this.

It's mostly just giggle-worthy, but I did notice a subtle emphasis that was worth a second look: Data-based versus genetic perspective.

Because mechs usually deal with data-flows and energy while doing naughty things, they (and by proxy, you the writer) kept noticing genetic metaphors and exchanges as the nearest equivalent.

Which is very fragging -perceptive-, though it raises a lot of odd questions:

If the mechs see 'squishy' sex as the exchange of information in an organic medium, how do they see Earth's libraries?

Or Chip and Spike's willingness to help them DESIGN the Dinobots?

Come to think of it, information about Earth was the very first thing the Humans offered the Autobots, and the offer changed Prime's policy towards them on the spot(G1 Episode 1).

Humans don't absorb technical data by direct contact, but they can learn it indirectly, by reading or being taught.

What is Ratchet's perspective on having taught Sparkplug enough about Autobot systems and design that the Human successfully BUILT the (admittedly sparkless) 'Autobot X'?

...To say nothing of transferring his son's mind into it!

Maybe canon Transformers only looks clean from a Human perspective. (G)

PS

Okay, I'll admit it. Despite the (snerk) 'squishy' nature of the, um, participants... "-glistening double helix under the moonlight." was a really good line.
EnVyS pEt NeKo2 chapter 1 . 6/28/2008
Oh my god. Why did this have to be so awesome and sexy? xD I'm so tempted to look up that vid now :D
Pennie Black chapter 1 . 6/28/2008
You know, when I saw you folks talking about this on livejournal, I never thought that you would actually /do/ it. But.. I'm so glad that you did.

This is possibly the most cracktastically amazing story I've ever read. D And I'm still feeling mildly disgusted with myself for enjoying slug smut so much. How much will I love it once I've come to terms with my own degeneracy?

So, um, yes. You made this beautiful and workable and I want to go find more Jazz/Mirage now.

Bravo! (:
bitBM chapter 1 . 6/27/2008
That was friggin' weird but I loved it.
playswithworms chapter 1 . 6/27/2008
That. Was. INCREDIBLE! oh holy cow I love it so much XD I don't think I've ever made so much noise reading a fic before (my dogs are both giving me worried looks) and at one point - (where Jazz says "It just sorta ...auto initiated") I had to get up and walk around and wave my hands in the air in disbelief of teh hysterical awesomeness before I calmed down enough to read the rest.

A for accuracy on slug natural history and all the marvelous details of the world from slug POV, makes my little biologist heart squee in joy *dogs tilt heads curiously at squeeing heart*. Also love the comparison of sharing genetic material to sharing data (I give a "what is the purpose of sex" talk to older groups of kids with pretty much that theme - one of the few ways to get the absolute attention of an entire class lol). And Mirage & Jazz's reactions to the whole situation - just perfect! I expected it to be hilarious and bizarre, but I didn't expect...that was...kind of beautiful and touching...huh. *shakes head* incredible.

Thank you so much for writing this *claps hands* standing ovation. Yer amazing :)

oh, great title too! and no apophallation, whew.

Mirage: "apopha-what?"

Jazz: "you don't want to know. trust me."
