Delightful. This is the best characterization of Todd I have read so far. I love it when people take chances with plots and such but so often the characters voices are no longer themselves. Spot-on!

Dare I trust my eyes? Dare I hope that my previous review might have minutely contributed to the long-awaited addition of this new chapter? I'm shocked that I hadn't yet put this story on my story alerts, hence the late review, over a week since you updated.

Not much to say this time, except that I continue to enjoy your well-written if painfully short chapters. The insightful way you've written Mr. Todd's "musings" is somehow solemn but lighthearted and humorous at the same time.

Also, I commend the way you've handled Mrs. Lovett's grief. It's a question I've been turning over and over in my head since watching the movie, of how Mrs. Lovett could love Toby as a son yet lock him up in a bakehouse for Mr. T to finish him off. You've given me a satisfactory answer: yes, she would have admitted the necessity of killing him, but that doesn't exempt her from being stricken with guilt and heartbreak.

I look forward to the next (and hopefully speedier) update!

Cool story. but i'm a little confudled as to whats going on, my head isn't processing things proplerly so, that or it's my dads Laptop, (our computer aint working) But don't worry.

I stumbled across it while looking through a friends profile and I must say this story is awesome. Although in most of the Sweenett stories I've read Toby ends up dying (poor toby) this one was great and really held my attention. Definantly adding to my favourites.

My God. How-how could you! This is the first-I repeat, the FIRST-story I've found in this fandom that has completely engrossed me. Your characterizations are masterful-I don't know how I can stress that enough. I've been searching desperately, vainly, for a good Sweenett story after the movie's horrific, tragic ending, but none of the fics I've found have been credible enough to actually bring me closure. And now that I've found the perfect fic, it seems you've abandoned it!

Still, I must rant about its greatness a bit more. The way you've written the romance is so mindblowingly realistic and mesmerizing. How ingenious of you, to have Mr. Todd think Mrs. Lovett was after his razors! And his reaction to her declaration of love, which, thank goodness, was made in a quiet, relatively calm moment and not while he was heartbroken over Lucy's dead body. Very convincing, that he should desire her affection for him rather than Mrs. Lovett herself at first. And all of this written so beautifully-I cried when poor Toby died.

All in all, I love this story so much, and I do so wish you would continue it, though I understand that after two years it'd be difficult to pick up where you left off. But wouldn't you at least try...please?
