I read this fanfic the first time I finished Buffy three years ago, and it's still my all time favorite fanfic. Crushed it. Out of the park. Seriously, this is perfect.

I accept this as canon. Fantastic story

It's been a long time since I've read any Buffyverse fic, and this was a fantastic look back into that world. I loved Buffy and Spike together and this was everything I hoped for them. The multiple POVs were excellently done.

I think this is the most beautiful Spike/Buffy fic I have ever read. I was in tears by the end of it. I loved seeing their relationship through everybody's eyes, just...wow.

Very well done. You see characters in ways that I have never thought of before, and you really wrote all the characters brilliantly. You also put just the right amount of humor into. I think my favorite line is, when Illyria is trying to understand the relationship,

"Illyria is quite certain that she feels no desire to ever laugh."

Great line, great story.

Hey, just an idea but you might want to put line breaks in between the individual perspectives since you did all as one chapter. You're less likely to confuse readers this way, though it was usually made pretty obvious when a shift occured. It was a good story though, well written and thoughtful. I can tell you really put some thought into how everyone is percieving events.

I understand this was published two years ago, and usually this amount of time would stop me from reviewing, but in this case, I couldn't just not do it. I've read my fair share of Spuffy fics, and this one is my favorite by far. I've read it a few times now, and for some reason, the last line always makes me tear up. Starting with Fred and ending with Illyria (whether you planned it that way or not) was genius. Loved it.

Although this isn't exactly my idea of what ought to happen, it's correct in the emotional essentials. Very nicely done, especially the Faith bit, where Buffy speechifies about how amazing Spike is. Good job on Giles's disgust, too.
