I love when authors take a side character that's barely mentioned in the main story and give them a story of their own. Or at least build off of their story more, not sure which is the right way to say it. I like this deeper look at Arisa's father. I knew that Arisa helped (forced?) him to recover but I never thought about the process it would have been. Love this~!

The only thing that threw it off, though, was a typo near the end...'of' should be 'off'.

I know it's a little thing, but the rest of your story was written so well-I hate to see it lose some of its power because you mistyped something...

What an incredibly interesting and original perspective on a character thats completely overlooked. It gives him depth. I like the style in which you've written, too. Only I think your story would benefit from a little formatting.

Wow. SO powerful. I commend you on this awesome piece of work. I'm glad that someone finally did a story about Arisa's father. He's probably the most ignored of all of the characters in the entire series, save perhaps the parents of Saki and Haru. This was wonderful. Truly. You created such a character with so little to go on. Great job.

OMG THIS WAS AWESOME, it actually brought tears to my eyes, it does make a nice cghange from him being a raging alchoholic, cas like you said in the manga he overcame that. Anyways this was really nice especially the last part when they both started crying, funnily enough i can believe that this could've happened in the manga. So well done on depicting this so well. Also having the story told through a confession made it that much more powerful and personal to me as well. Thanks for sharing the story.

This was beautiful. I can't get over how well this was written. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Uo's father portrayed this way; it's just perfect.

That was really very interesting and well-done. Nobody's ever written describing Arisa's father's point of view before. But showing that he does have emotions really brings him to life.

This is Good! Actually I always thought of him as a rather apathetic person and I agree with you that he doesn't seem like an abusive person. very nicely written and awesome way to end it :D

Ooh! I love it! Your author's note, too, really made me think (not that I've ever pictured him as abusive, actually I quite like his character, and their relationship) I think you portrayed him pretty well, his emotions are very real.

Incidentally, I don't think you needed that last sentence, I think it would've been even cooler to just end it on that just slightly mysterious "...after all..." (obvious who was calling, of course)
