Oh, what a lovely cliff hanger. To make it even more interesting is leaving it with a cliffhanger after 2 years have passed. The story is very intriguing, yes, but being as the reader and having to wonder what happens next leads to...possible predictions, perhaps.

You must at least update it since the plot has everyone interested. ;)

The progression of their relationship is very believable. I think Cheryl/Heather would try to get Val to resurrect her dad, she clearly loved him a good deal and would feel like she needs him.
