Well, MEANT to reply, not add this to my faves, but... All things considered, it would've ended up there, anyway.

I love these origin stories, especially the ones about obscure characters-Skye/Steiner, for instance. And this one's especially well-thought-out. Love the way you led the cooking and thieving into the story. Also love the fact that you're using characters from other HM games. Too bad you don't know much about spices, though (look up saffron. The leaves of the plant are only useful as animal fodder). But not many people know the details on those, so it's not like it takes anything away from the actual story.

Summary: Nice work. Can't wait to read the rest.

Oh goodness, I felt so sad for Steiner in this chapter. But it's good to know that he has a friend (and Chihaya, no less! xD -loves Chihaya-)

In this English version he never said that, but... HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE! Very good and heartfelt. I am just saying this to be annoying "WRITE MORE!1" And when I saw this I'm like 'yay, another Skye fic' I like 'em for some reason.
