This ended on such a strong note, a kind of rising action, if that makes sense. Your final line was perfect.

Zuko is completely unable to let up on himself, isn't he? Just wounded, he's emotional, yes, but he's also determined and thinking about ways to not be weak or helpless. And yes, imagining Azula finding her blinded, recuperating brother isn't comforting. She'd probably keep him for a pet. And Azula isn't kind to animals.
Luckily the belief that her friends are in trouble shook Katara out of her self pity and into action. If she butts into this fight, I hope Toph expresses her displeasure.

This is a good story on most fronts. The one problem I find is the group's indulgence of Katara's running off to sulk. She injured an ally. Worse, she may have crippled Zuko's ability to train the Avatar. Her emotions may be fragile and all that, but her actions were both cruel and irresponsible.
This doesn't even address the way she behaved violently without any hesitation or, worse, thought. I think she needs to spar with her father. There's more to combat than techniques. She'll need to think as well.

I really hope you will update last chapter because this is amazing!

Yuss! I always felt that moral nuance was not sufficiently tackled in the show. Katara needed this lesson. Bravo.
